200NL Ignition 6 Max - River Decision with KJo 200NL Ignition 6 Max - River Decision with KJo

Literally my first hand at the table so zero reads.

Effective stacks $200.

Preflop ($3):

BTN opens to $4, SB folds, Hero in BB makes it $15 with KJ, BTN calls.

Flop ($31): QJ3

Hero bets $20, BTN calls.

Turn ($71): 8

Hero checks, BTN bets $35, Hero calls.

River ($141): T

Hero? I lean towards bet/folding small (like 1/3-1/2 pot) since Villain will likely check behind a lot of hands and there's not that many hands he would have to bluff with if I were to check. I also do not expect villain to bluff raise river vs my sizing. Keep in mind that I don't have that much experience playing 200NL on Ignition, so this is just my best-guess population read. I am a little afraid that my hand is too face up with this line.

Call pre, x/c flop.

X/c river. In general, donking rivers is pretty bad

3bet pre is fine vs 2x btn open.

AP, c/c river

Since you are readless, I prefer to call with KJo OOP and see a flop. You don't want to blow the pot up pre with KJo type of hand, could cost you pretty big.

Check call river as played.

call pre; you should be 3bing less frequency facing smaller sized opens.

as played x/c flop or bet smaller

river is a x/c

check call river for sure

pre is fine for value, c/c flop, c/c river as played

Sometimes I wonder if people ever bluff river when hero is perceived to have so much As

"so much"? I don't think so. Villain may struggle to find enough bluffs without turning 1p hands into a bluff though.

+1

Should I really be check/calling river then? I really don't think Villain should have that many bluffs, and my understanding of player tendencies on Ignition has been that they don't really like turning medium strength hands (or even barely SDV hands) into bluffs.

Without reads I think you're betting off bet/folding in this spot. Someone isn't going to bluff jam if you bet here, and you don't have enough info to know if someone is going to bluff here, but they will have a decent amount of 2 pairs and maybe even crying calls w/ KQ to make it worth betting over checking.

Readless, flat pre. KJo rates fairly poorly at 100bb in pio, def not worth a 3b unless we have a read btn is opening 75%+

Either bet very small with whole range on flop, or split to one bigger betsize with Qx+, draws, and checks with some draws and Jx.

Turn fine obv.

x/call against anything up to pot on riv. Facing on overbet here on ignition is As 95%, all imo of course

generally i would prefer calling pre. u want to polarize your raise range oop and KJ is a decent hand to see a flop with. the same can be said on the flop. i would recomment checkcalling such flops because you should only donkbet with a very polarized range, like nutish draws with very low sdv and overpair or better on flops that hit your opponents range. I dont know how to play the river after the line you took because i dont really know the range your representing here.
when playing like i suggested, you can easily checkcall the river, because ure representing a weaker range and your hand strength is relatively strong in comparison to your whole range so your opponant will be bluffing at a higher frequency since the turn and river are very wet. he will also be value betting with worse than your hand because your hand doesn´t look as polarized than it does with the line you took.
