Hello,

Any advice on this hand vs this MP1 villain. My reads on him is that seems to play aggressively. How was my preflop play? Did I do the right thing calling the flop and the turn?

    Fold pre-flop.

Not a huge fan of donking here. I much much prefer flop CR / jam turn. You put yourself in a spot now where you have to count on your opponent jamming turn, which he probably won't do w/ any diamond, he'll check. So you just increased your opponent EV, which is the opposite of what you want to do in profitable poker.

Luckily he bet, but I don't like any street honestly.

    Fold pre-flop.

As played: Getting 2 to 1 pre out of position. Without a read on the player (which you don't provide), I'd have to expand his 3! range to 77+, AQs, KQs, AKo to call. Let's assume we don't know anything about him I'd give him credit for it and fold.

I don't like the lead out, I'd check to him. Given the size of this re-raise on the flop I suspect he would bet that amount as well if we'd check to him. That makes the pot about 32,5 BB. We have about 40 left, I'd check raise all-in on the flop.

If it goes check-check, I'd bet a brick on the turn.

    Fold pre both times

    X/c flop, x/j turn.

AP, calling it off is fine

Pre and flop terrible, but don't worry I butcher hands as well.

I don't mind raising A10 IN POSITION and with more info. You could even 3 bet with this hand IN POSITION. However utg+1 is not a good spot for this hand, a lot of callers AJ, AQ, AK have you crushed and playing out of position with top pair weak kicker is suicide. Once you were 3 bet pre, I definitely would've let this hand go. So imo, both your preflop actions were not the best choices. Moving on to the flop, I don't mind the way it was played out. I would never assume the villian flopped a flush here, also depending on your image, villian is probably not going to think you would lead out on the flop if you had the flush.

Luckily you crushed the flop with two pair, most times however, you'll flop top pair top kicker against villians over-pair or flop top pair and be out kicked.
