200: top two facing a raise

No info on the player, 44 hands playing kind of passive pre, 26/19, hasn't 3b yet, only seen 5 flops and all looking pretty standardish...

Probably not a great hand to post to some extent with no reads at all but how do you play this as a standard?

I cbet about 72%, but less on this board texture obviously, opening 14% utg. Obviously he never has a straight so...

CO: $749.30
BTN: $108
SB: $185.05
BB: $421.20
Hero (UTG): $243.85

Pre-Flop: T J dealt to Hero (UTG)
Hero raises to $6, MP calls $6, 4 folds

Flop: ($15) T J 8 (2 Players)
Hero bets $12, MP raises to $32

Re: 200: top two facing a raise

A reg should rarely/never have made a straight on this board with these positions and we're blocking a lot of stuff, so we're worried about 5 combos exactly (3x 88, TT and JJ).

Basically boils down to if he plays aces and kings this way, which we can't know, but I'd assume most people do, so probably 3bet/get it in for me.

Can't ever see myself calling on this board OOP.

Also I can't see MPs stacksize, makes a lil difference if you're 120x deep or not.

In a vacuum though I honestly think folding and getting it in is pretty even EV here.

Re: 200: top two facing a raise

what do you think his call open range is here (with the lack of info.. what's your guess?)

72% cbet = you will get raised a lot by those who raise semi-bluffs and strong hands. I'm not sure if he even sees you as a 72%cbet with the little hands he has on you.

Does he call your pfr with JQ 89 T9 QK in mid position and then raise you?

i think his fold to cbet, raise c bet, mid position call open, your cbet, and recent game flow are the things I would consider.

I know you are asking what you would do with the lack of info, and I'm not so sure. Perhaps a more experienced player should post about that

maybe shorter version of what I was thinking is:

are there any semi-bluffs or bluffs in here? how can we extract more value from them, because 88 and TT JJ would extract value from you all the time.

I presume you wouldn't fold.

Re: 200: top two facing a raise

He has me covered Nirwanda, I think

Can't know his range but he seems a tag on the passive side so far, can certainly see him flatting JJ, QQ etc not wanting to get in in pre and attack this board.

Also I feel this board gets attacked a lot with bluffs too since its hard for us to smash. If I 3b and he shoves its tough, I don't know if he'd play overpairs this way or pair+sds.

Meh

I don't expect him to ever bluff here given positions, but he's going to have QQ+ and maybe AJ in his range. Also, we have blockers to sets.

Re: 200: top two facing a raise

26/19 seems kind of stationy. Do you know his call preflop raise stat? That would help a lot. I am putting him on a range of 88,TT,JJ,QK, QQ,KK,AA, potentially JA, and maybe JTs. As played I raise and stack off. If he has you beat then you got coolered.

If we give villain a range of 88,TT-AA we have 56% equity.

We have 52% equity against this range as well.
AA,JJ-TT,88,KQs,JTs
