100NL: river bluff spot

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
SB ($107)
BB ($184)
Hero ($100)
CO ($97.70)
BTN ($139)

Dealt to Hero 8 A

Hero raises to $4, CO calls $4, BTN calls $4, fold, fold

FLOP ($13.50) T 9 7

Hero bets $9, CO raises to $18, BTN folds, Hero calls $9

TURN ($49.50) T 9 7 4

Hero checks, CO checks

RIVER ($49.50) T 9 7 4 J

Hero ?

Opened A8s MP because BB was a fish. I also considered CO as fish because he doesn't have full stack.
I cbet flop, because I have OESD + OC which is tons of equity, called the mr of course.
River brings 4 flush on board. I think it's more likely that he doesn't have a diamond here because I think he would have likely bet it.

Should I bluff the river here. How big should I bet?

I have mixed feeling about the flop action.

Yeah you have SD but I'm not thrilled with absence of FD and your mediocre OC outs but if you think that they are that fishy then I guess it's not that bad.

Yes, I'd bet 1/2 pot on river for value. I'm expecting set or two pairs to call. And I would be surprised if he has any diamond. You don't have to bluff, this would be a straight value bet vs this fish.

Re: 100NL: river bluff spot

I think betting flop is fine if you knew he was bad.

If you want to bluff, I'd shove.

But you have the nuts, so bet 1/2 to 3/4.

Seems like he minraised the flop cbet for value with a made hand. He could only have 2 diamonds (Td, Qd). I think both he might check on turn as he's fearful of looking bad, his flop play is what matters. I bet for value 100% since I think he can only really have the Td and I don't believe and he can't fold.

If he has a flush, I think villain's line is perhaps the most genius ever. Do everything wrong to confuse robotic regs.

Why would you 'bluff' the river if you think he doesn't have a diamond?

Fold to the flop minraise, your outs are dirty and obvious (even to a fish).

A8s is pretty much a standard MP open anyway and you have a straight btw.
