I decide to call with some backoors and overs as my opponent gives up on most turns, turn cb 20%. So when he c/c I know he's doing this with a decent amount of his range but he's going to be weak. So I tried to exploit that with a pot sized bet. However he's a fissh so is this bad or did I just get unlucky to be up against a super fish?

lol, I just realised he hit a straight on the river, what do you think to the bluff though?

I think it's ok

Overall play flop + turn is good if your reads are true

River not great to bluff but we still want to bluff sometimes unless we have an explo reason not too, just gotta be carefull about your frequencies, this combo is ok, there's not a lot of good/bad blockeur effect so i'll just choose my worst SDV first

I think floating the flop and betting the turn are fine. It's the worst river to bluff though. There aren't many hands that would x/c the turn and x/f to this river.

Bad river card to be bluffing here.

What types of hands are you targeting with your river bluffs?

I think definitely 77 & 88 and possibly some missed FDs that have us beat.

But, he can just as easily have A4, A3, and 66, which is 30 combos of straights we know definitely call us. So I don't think this gets through more than 50% we need for the pot size bluff.

If I was bluffing this river, there's no way I'd go full pot (as I can't think of many turn check calls besides 77/88 that now fold river).

This. Also 77/88 are checking flop some % of the time

bluffing river is fine with J high but the sizing should be more like half pot since when you value bet here with a straight you're targeting low pairs and alot of his missed draws that just give up will fold to smaller bet.
