100NL: 3bet pot OOP

$0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 5 Players

Hero (SB): $106.50 (106.5 bb)
BB: $100 (100 bb)
MP: $136.83 (136.8 bb)
CO: $25 (25 bb)
BTN: $197.20 (197.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J K
2 folds, BTN raises to $2, Hero raises to $8, BB folds, BTN calls $6

Flop: ($17) 4 3 3 (2 players)
Hero?

Turn: Q (2 players)
Hero?

River: 9 (2 players)

Villain is a reg playing 21/17 over 160 hands. Only hand we played he called A2s SB vs BT(2.5xbb open), he then c/ced flop+turn & i checked back river on AcQd7d Td 9h.
I don't like giving other stats over this sample.

Wondered if you cbet, or just give up on the flop, what about turn?

Re: 100NL: 3bet pot OOP

im probably cbting and when Q comes ott i barrel and shove river,he mostly has i think mid pps which will fold otr

edit :i think only barreling turn and c/f river it would be a mistake cause he knows its a good card if he is a reg,so shoving river would be the best move imo

Re: 100NL: 3bet pot OOP

Thnx for replys.

Ok Batza, but aren't you worried AQ/KQ with bdfd and maybe a few slow plays keep him from folding too much on the river? I think my bluffing range is going to be extremely wide if i play all my air this way(but same with flop).

@MirZolzayn: i assume you are after my 3bet%? It's 7% and i play 24/19.

I think barreling off will be fine with hands like this that can turn or river tp, wouldn't do it with SC's or suited aces

If you aren't sure about certain fairly common postflop situations like whether to c-bet that flop then you probably shouldn't 3-bet KJ. Nothing wrong with folding.

Either c/f flop and possibly bet some turns if it checks through, or bet at least twice

well i think its a very small part of his range what ur saying also u cant be scared about slow plays like AA in his range unless u see him doing it, and i kinda agree w iIImatic w what air range u should do it

Re: 100NL: 3bet pot OOP

Thnx.

Do you guys cbet flop 100% with your air? +Why?
I only ask because my flop value range is TT+ and maybe AK if you can consider it a vbet. So very few combos compared to a massive amount of air i could potentially have here.

Re: 100NL: 3bet pot OOP

1) don't like betting Turn without bluffing River. best to 3barrel esp if your image is not too out of line (i think it's pretty solid)
2) only QX in his range is AQ, I don't think it's a good play to call QJ and KQ
3) definitely cbetting Flop if he has a wide range. If he has a tight range of AQ and pocketpairs (and is not folding AQ on such flops) then I think betting once is a bad plan.
