I dont know whats going on... Last month i absolutely crushed plo25zoom and now for the past 40k hands i spewed so ***** much. Seems like everything i do is wrong and getting sucked out 5x in a row when im 70+ ahead. Rep a straight perfecty and fish still cant let go of their aces im so fed up.

Any chance people's databases are catching up to you? Do you study those numbers? Anything grossly exploitable there, even in the minute details?

In my own experience, if your opponents start playing better against you, any run bad is going to look exponentially worse. And if you run really bad, it's going to look absolutely mathematically impossible.

It's beatable. There is plenty of evidence on these forums showing that with a little bit of digging.

40k hands is not a lot and you will experience many periods of high variance (both up and downswings) if you continue to play zoom/Omaha for many more hands.

Continue to study. Figure out who is good and who is a bit weaker. Take notes. Most importantly play. Most people learn a lot by playing and putting themselves in situations over and over again.

It just seems like nobody ever gets out of line. Hardly ever people raise without nuts. If people dont have nuts made hand or draw for nuts thry will just fold fold fold. I am going crazy here. Are there any videos out there specifically for plo25 zoom? To me it seems like a nitpit

PLO25 is definetely beatable, since the overall reg population isnt very good at the game and there's plenty of fish who just donate stacks.

With the risk of sounding like a tard, my playing style might just not be suitable for small stakes because everybody seems to play so nitty. Nobody is 3bet bluffing at this stake. 90% of 3-bets people have aces. It's very rare these nits 3bet anything else.

My main is PLO HU. 3 years ago I built up a roll from PLO20 to becoming PLO200 reg. on ipoker. Then lived a life of travelling, parties, dinners and stupid purchases. pretty much spent everything I earned and left poker for a couple of years.

Want to build up a roll again now and unfortunately they dont have micro HU tables. iPoker is too little action.

PLO25Zoom has just become my nemesis at this point. 6max might probably not suitable for my playing style and at this point im just tilting. Been losing so much lately in zoom that I went to PLO50HU to get back some of my losses. Got back $1000 at plo50 but after the last couple of days that doesn't even cover what I've spewed at plo25.

I don't want to keep playing 50 as i'm underrolled for HU (want at least 50+ BI before that becomes my main game). I just want to BEAT zoom what the ****. I ****ing hate that game, i hate those idiots playing it and I want to penetrate myself with a frozen yoghourt.

Playing super lose in these super nitty games is an unimaginably sick variance booster. You just had a big upswing and you felt like you will be crushing these games forever like this. But, your imagination ≠ reality

Tilting is a really big factor. Especially when running bad also.

You posted in Junes Giraffes thread that you play 25/16 which are pretty taggish stats. Sure, there are plenty of guys on 25Zoom, that play way more nitty than that, but it's not your playing style, that is not suitable for micros. At least not your VIP and PFR. As a remote diagnosis I would say it's just variance combined with you playing bad and tilting/spewing away stacks.

For grinding out these streches of bad variance you have to have a really stable mindset. That's the key.

Had another session just now.. It's lately just been like this everytime.



I run bad in big pots and dig myself a 10+ buyin hole which I then have to get myself out of. I'm surprised that I didn't manage to lose it all back again like it usually happens.

Some days I tilted hard and just spewed away 20+ buyins, but even when I put 100% into the game I feel like I'm just getting smashed by variance. ****ing PLO. **** YOU PLO

But I do know you have a completely warped and naive view on what constitutes sample size in PLO and the magnitude of the swings you will encounter

Huge winners will lose 40-50BI over 40k samples. They will breakeven over 200k samples.

You worry way to much about swings that are completely and utterly standard for any PLO grinder. However, you are the only one creating threads about it.

Come back when you have +200k samples sizes. In the mean time. Work on your game and grind it out. Stop being a btch
