I would give it a try and make some datacollecting and crunshing and see what is possible to find out. I have the same opinion that also stacksizes can matter and so on when you look into it detailled.
The samplesize is the problem indeed and that is why i am asking here for ideas.
You cant say that there is no value in it to try to do something like that.
Lets say you have 100 plo winning players and you compare the winrates for handcategories for them i am pretty sure that you will find similarities. And there where you find differences you can look into it and then you will find reasons: stacksizes, playing styles, game type (zoom, reg, 6max, fr)...
In one way or another this kind of study would help for sure imo.
Lets start with the winrate of AA** for example: I have 396 bb/100 over 9K Aces and i am very convinced that this should be higher because i played AA** for a long time very bad.
The idea was only to find other who would be interested in some benchmarking like this because imo it can help to find potential leaks.
