Why do you play?
Have you ever played Tetris, and all you can think about when the world stands still is different combos to solve different tetris spots? If not, youve proabably found yourself in some similiar spot in something else. I have a tendence do make my life work around my biggest passion, and most of my freetime will be used to look for entertaining regarding this, or research to get more knowledgeable. When I played soccer as a kid, I trained everyday, after a while multiple times a day to become better. I went from the 2nd team in my local club, to the first team, playing with one year older guys, and then to the 1st team for one of the biggest youth clubs in my country. Then my passion went away, and I quit soccer 1st year of high school which is 16 in Norway. My passion became poker, and I was obsessed, first starting with NLH, but it wasnt enough, and now its Omaha. Between these two major passions in my life, I have other hobbies ofcourse, like friends, girls, clothing , school etc, but nothing as major as these two. Everyday I wake up thinking about spots, how my play the day before was bad, how to become better, how to find information, how it would be different if I was better, just like the time I had played a bit to much tetris lol.
As I have stated previous, Im not in poker for the money, eventhough winning feels good and losing feels bad. Actually its not excactly the winning part or the losing part, but how you won or lost that gives me satisfaction/not. I just wanna be good at what I do I guess. If I can tell others that Im good, I feel good..
Im actually interested in what other micro/lowstakes players play for, if its the money, something else or the same as me.
