saw this a week ago ^ has anyone used it? or has any idea what its like?

from what I can see on the average looking website. it seems that its a poor version of PJ but cheaper if the fee is indeed a 1 off 40 bucks. maybe a bit like pokerstove for PLO?

i already bought it if u have any questions.

Its basically u select a pf range, and then put in a flop (&/or turn river), and gives u a range breakdown.

How many sets u have, How many straights u have etc.

I will say it still needs a lot of work, like say u want to do top 10% - top 2% u have to manually deselct the top 2 after u select the top 10.

I emailed them before i bought it and they said they're going to add range vs range and more stuff.

Theres also next to no documentation aside from the faq, so i still have no idea what a - FDMax = Flush Draw Max is?

also id like to know stuff like how many K high Fdraws i have etc. It doesnt tell u visually what combos they are, so all u know is like u have 60 combos of flush, 54 combos of 2p etc. (which is the stupidest part of this software) (u can see the images on the site)

On the plus side, (note i never used PJ so i dont know how it compares), the way the ranges are shown is just genius imo, which u can fully see in the evaluation.

All in all, as is, very raw basic software. With a couple updates, should be very good software.

One more thing that annoys me, is u cant edit the Hand Categories so ur stuck to only using 6 catgories. ( I should be able to add my own Hand Categories!)
They are Air, Strong Made, Weak Made, Strong Draw, Draw, Weak Draw. so all ur hands combos will be categorized under these 6.

Another thing i would like to see is customizable "types of hands" right now ur stuck to using the types of hands hes chosen which is shown in the faq.

Based on the article and the download page it looks useless. I am using PPT and PJ and i can`t see any reason to download this. I am already scared to use HM, PJ and PPT. Downloading another "new/unknown" software which has no big (i can`t see any) advantage compared to PPT doesn`t feel like a good option.

What exactly are you afraid of? Please explain

Because i have no idea of IT i am afraid of every software, everything i downlaod from somewhere and so on. Spyware... I am actually that paranoid that i wouldn`t be surprised if someday comes out that HM or other softwares has a inbuild spyware installed and someguys see your hands while playing...

As a representative of VisualOmaha, I would like to try to answer a few points stated here.

VisualOmaha has not been designed to be a direct competitor to PJ. It won't give you prebuilt opening ranges for example (except the top x% models for 6handed, 3handed, and hu play).
The main idea was to help players to construct their own ranges in the clearest way possible. We believe that having a "visual" input system, (not a syntax system), is a huge advantage in order to complete that objective, as it can even be reviewed while playing very quickly.

@Controlling: It is however a study software, and that point should comfort you that the software is safe, as you do not even need to install it on the computer you are playing with.

@JayTK: Thank you for this short review- the points you approached are very relevant to us.
We will look forward to add some customizations, input options and we will even study the possibility to directly link the results to the grid with a visual effect.
As you mentioned it however, our main concern atm is to allow the user to work on multiple ranges at the same time in order to offer some range vs range equity calculations.

The Flush Draw Max value means that the hand concerned contains the nutflush draw (ie, Axs on 35sx or Kxs on ATsx for example). We do apology that no more documentation is available at the moment, as we are more focus on improving the software.
