This river bet seems weird to me, especially after the turn bet. I guess he turned a straight and hit the river. Looking back maybe I should have continued the flop seems like such a basic error on my part.

bet flop somewhere around half pot, no need to go larger. You don't want people to realize their equity for free especially when we hit a good flop. They are unlikely to have a 6 in their hand and they will probably only be raising with trips or better in this spot at this stake. Don't be afraid to be raised, if they aren't bluff raising very often in this spot then you never have to call and basically lose the min. Not betting because your hand can't stand a raise is not a reason to not bet.

As played fold river.

You need to be more clear and/or thorough.

1) What straight could he have turned? If you mean he turned a straight draw, the T didn't give him a straight draw that was completed by a 5.
2) What do you think he hit on the river?

To me it looks like he either flopped or turned a full house. The small lead on the turn is begging to get raised. Having failed at that, he just shoves on the river hoping the 5 completed something you could call with. Not saying that it was a good thought process on his part, but it's definitely consistent with $5 PLO thinking.

The error you identified isn't actually the error. I think you might've misread the board when making OP. Look it over once more and if you can't identify why that's the case, check out the new to PLO thread.

Yeah I definitely made a mistake on the OP. I think I'll just keep posting hands without my thoughts, doesn't really matter anyway.

Your thoughts are one of the most important parts, because we're all here trying to make sure our thought process is correct. It can't be corrected if no one knows what you're thinking.

You can't let fear of embarrassment get in the way. If you already had all the answers you probably wouldn't be posting questions.

For example, my read above could be silly and wrong. It didnt stop me from posting it.

Thanks! This makes a lot of sense. Maybe a better way of putting it is I'll try to be more thorough when putting my thoughts down in future posts.
