Many of the SSPLO regs have dabbled into the intoxicating world of Rush PLO 100 at FTP, also known as Vroom. Figured it would be fun to post HHs and stuff into a single thread where we could discuss development of the player pool, strategy and maybe get into some good old-fashioned back-and-forth after ugly beats, spewy megapots and hero calls. Less chat while grinding would def be +ev for myself, lol.

I actually like the fact that noone can check this through PTR, so I don't wanna go into too much detail. I can tell you I'm a winning player, currently running 4,5k below ev at Vroom after 400k hands. WHERE'S MY HEATER FTP!!!

Yeah, I was a rb pro for some time, now have an ok small winrate to supplement the rb. Dont play as much as you though, mostly play MTTs now

I used to play a lot of MTTs, but not for a while now. Got married and got a kid, cash games provided a flexible time-table to go with family life. At vroom, it's so easy to sit out and get back in, I love it.

Tried to qualify for this year's WSOP main, though, but failed. Got real close a few times, second in a double shoot-out and 100 seats away from the money at the 150-seat guarantee. Gonna try again next year for sure...

Btw, I think the best time to play is usually around 2pm-6pm FTP time, any opinions?

Hey OP just curious as to what you play? FTP only has 100PLO Rush so 10k below EV is pretty sick. EV is the worst thing since PTR in my opinion though.
Ive actually been trying my luck at rb and wasnt sure if the best way to do it was rush or the cap/ss tables on FTP

currently I play rush 100 almost exclusively. 4-tabling gets some 2k FTP over 4hours. Hard to beat that, unless ur like 12+ -tabling

I'm a fairly big loser at PLO100 rush (and PLO50 rush while you mention it). Decent (12bb/100) winner at PLO100. It's somewhat of a mystery to me exactly why i get hammered at rush, stats are 26/19/6 aggression 3.9, so pretty standard stats, and tighter than i play at PLO100. It feels like i have run horribly, i'm also 20 bins under ev but sample size is also fairly small.

Hopefully i'll be able to get something out of this thread as to why i have taken such a beating, however as i explained in the cross thread to this one, i'm self excluded from rush atm, so i won't be able to practice any theory

Pretty sure you are a winning player at rush100, also pretty sure you arent a 12bb/100 winner at PLO100...its just variance obv

Was just wondering, what do you guys think is the highest attainable winrate at rush, or in other words, what do you think the best regs have? I feel like its going to be much less than at normal PLO

anyway, my biggest leak by far is 3betting, I seem to get into a lot of marginal spots when I 3bet wider and feel comfortable playing small pots vs. bad players, so my 3bet % lately is just around 2-3%, thoughts on how it affects winrate? Sometimes I feel like that you can do very well without 3betting much at low stakes PLO esp. rush, then again if you are good at it, its probably much more EV

it's going to be significantly less than PLO100 6 max. Considering the volume available has attracted so many shorties, nits and regs, i think that anything between breakeven and 4bb/100 is very respectable, and anything above that and you are doing very well indeed. That's purely a guess, however i guess some players have several hundred thousand hands by now, and i would be surprised if anyone with a significant sample could post a 4bb+ w/r.

Sorry for the lack of text, conp was seriously lagging and I wanted to get these posted , since I'd started, before restarting.

So here we go.
In Feb this year I started playing the Rush PLO 50 tables, I'm not sure when PLO rush started but I had seen it and ignored it.

At the time 50 was the highest limit and the 1st month it was just something I played either after a session or when I had an hour or 30 minutes to kill before going somewhere or waiting for a TV show to start, it was good fun and a change of pace from regular tables and since it was lower stakes pretty much stress free, then in april 100 PLO started.

When it started there was no HUD,or at least I didn't have it, so I pretty much just played good starting hands and played my hands for their value.

Story cut short, played rush, massivly swingy, bad for overall game, stopped playing.

Yeah, rush has not helped my game, but it also makes villains play worse. I'm sure I've seen more bizarre spazzouts in rush than I ever have in regular plo. people seem to think they can get away with check raising every other hand becase you're not always at a table with them.

You're right about people trying to steal more, I think the dynamic of rush also makes people paranoid about being run over. This results in an unusually high % of FPS and not giving up on marginal spots.

Concerning player pool, I think there's also many 1/2 regs at Vroom currently. DarkMagus from 2+2 mentioned that he usually plays 1/2, as did I.

Whats that equate to regarding rakeback in $?
From what ive seen in forums, 1k ftp = $3.5?
2k/4hr = 500ftp per hour which is $1.75 per hour? that cant be right

I agree that you do get a ton of FPS and super light shoving in rush. I think for this reason you can probably get away with playing almost any PP, as when you hit a set you have a high chance of stacking someone with trash.

ummm... 1k FTPs is roughly 50 bucks in RB. I'm a bit confused by those numbers, 1.75 per hour?

Jep, i play 25 PLO and 200 FTP = a bit less than 10 dollars in rakeback. No clue where this 1,75 per hour comes from.
