Hi guys, i just started dabbling in a few PLO tourneys. I am really not sure if this is a fold, limp or raise pre as I have never really played PLO this deep.

Opinions on preflop decisions? Vs a limp we should have good equity in my eyes, only 2 players to act behind, we can get a large chunk of our stack in and vs a limp I would expect our A and K to be live pairs too.

Obviously the flop is standard, turn and river annoying but hey ho.

Opinions on preflop here too. I didn't realise at the time but this was the bubble too, 83 paid and 84 left. Bubble boy

Cheers for any opinions.

Of course on the stone bubble it's a clear fold pre no matter what.

If it was not the bubble, it's still probably a fold. It would require some very specific reads about the limper to be a raise pre (limp/folds a lot, only limps bad hands and raises good ones, etc.) and even then it never prints money, just wins a tiny amount. Your hand is around 45% vs top 25%, and not really >50% against any reasonable range ever (even a loose range with top hands discounted because they're raise you'd be 48%. The standard & best play is to just fold pre.

I'm not much of a tournament player or expert, but wouldn't it make sense to still be opening BTNs wide, especially on the bubble? Like obviously the blinds are going to defend correctly, but any fold equity is going to bode well for us which ICM and/ or pay jumps start dictating chip decisions over regular chip EV.

On the bubble this is bad. This isn't nlh and it is a 4 tournament. People will call you very light. Any bet by us pre basically commits us to the hand. Tbh, in a higher stake tournament I would expect to be calling a 3b with any pf raise with a stack this size and would have to be willing to call. Not willing to stack off with ops hand

I definitely don't have much experience with PLO tournaments. Makes sense.

Cheers for the replies, I definitely wasn't sure on this one and know its loose. Besides this, came 3/250 the other night in a 4.40 so corrected some of my mistakes

Probably not. You don't need 50% against the limper to VPIP profitably. The blinds being dead money is extremely significant. You could at least overlimp quite successfully.
