This seems to be a common spot, and I'm left with a bluff catcher when donked into for pot on the river. The flush is the back door one, rather than the flopped one, and we have a blocker. Some straight draws also complete, although I think it's less likely that a typical player would donk the river for pot when making the straight but not the flush.

Only had three hands on villain, so no reads.

as far as straight hits go, this one is a bit unlikely (23, 37, 87), although the presence of spades on the flop could have induced him to take a slow line with a wrap.

I'd fold, could easily be the flush or straight here. Flop might have a pair of tens or overpair with the diamond BDFD and then the turn is an easy call.

I see a lot of combos that get to the river that are leading to extract value from hands exactly like ours, 2p+ etc. but a competent opponent will be able to lead as a bluff with missed spades and other combos as well. Against a pot sizing it's a bit of an ugly spot. I think this is a tight fold unless you know villain is capable of making plays in this spot.

Also, the 5d 'blocker' isn't actually relevant at all. It shouldn't actually factor into your decision at all.

When I look at the hand I see an 80bb PLO2 player leading into us on the river after x/c twice. So I guess it should be the standard loose passive player, who wouldn't pot his busted flushdraw most of the time. Therefore I think it's a fold, not the easiest one as stated.

Thanks for replies. FWIW I did fold as I generally play quite tight in situations that are likely not massively +EV and will significantly increase variance, but I'm somewhat concerned that this might be a leak, hence me posting the hand. If this were a few stakes higher, where players are expected to be thinking more, I'd be calling with at least some portion of my range.

Given your hand was at PLO2 it's definitely weighted more to a fold but you're right, when you play against stronger opponents they are capable of leading this river as a bluff.

Holding 2 spades is more relevant in blocker value because it reduces the combos of spade flush draws he can have that he can be turning into a bluff. That said, the most important thing is it's PLO2 and a player has pot donked a river; we're most likely beat.

Yeah you are beat way to often. Its so rare that people bluff at these stakes. The only time you get bluffed here are by the few decent players or the spewtards that will trippel barrel a bad two pair.
