these are my thoughts exactly! i am sure he'd call with second nuts (which is the hand he had) if i had left a few chips behind.
care to share why you disagree lifes3ps?
your value range may/should be wider than 64. your value range will be trying to get value from non straight hands, hes never folding a4 anyway, "its HU 3bet pot" as hell have soooo few 46 combos in his range that a4 is probably the top of his range besides KK/AA46 which again are such small % of hands anyway. so youre value range would be focused on getting value from his non straight hands and either bet turn/river smaller, or bet turn larger to set up a comfortable ship something 2/3-3/4pot OTR, larger just looks somewhat forced unless u go pot turn pot river cuz theres so much behind.
so your bluff range should be trying to get him to fold the same hands/rep the same type of range and work (maybe KK folds out, but ehhh he backed into it = less likely to fold it) to fold out low sets/2prs or get value from his pr+combos OTT which will snap fold OTR anyways, which is precisely why we bet the turn larger, to get more value from his combos which snapfold the river anyway when they miss
so i think your ideas right if youre trying to fold out his "other range" but you need to rethink things if youre trying to get a4 to fold

i thought about how i worded what i was saying after the fact, and realized i might be misunderstood somewhat. i obviously know i'm trying to get value from more than straight hands when taking this line for value. but i also know he doesn't think i'm capable of this type of bluff, so if i shove he instafolds all but the nuts. if i bet like 60% pot he will most likely call with a couple sets, A4, as he's been suspicious each time i've shown any type of weakness ("Very rarely less than allin looks more credible when you're able to go allin and rep the nuts, imo"). you are overestimating this guys skills! what you are saying is great vs a good reg but vs this guy balancing and so on isn't all that important. if i have nuts next time i know what to bet to get a call. you suggest 3/4 allin on river... you do realize i only bet 81,5% right?
oh, and he instafolded/showed A4.
I have not too many reads on BTN, he seems loose-aggro preflop and tight-passive postflop. I c/r'ed the river because my nerves broke down and also because of BTN's small sizing that seemed scared to me.
That's a brilliant move! You're representing exclusively the nut but you're twice more likely to succeed with the blockers than without them. You also got lucky to win an additional bet because SB lead the river for some reason I can't understand.
