Even though im really trying to play tight,getting involved with hands that have good flopability etc,im still finding myself unsure about what to do on the flops i miss in HU pots.

Having almost no reads because of the nature of the game(ZOOM),and without HUDs and similar software,i often use general rules of thumb provided in books and videos(not cbetting when i want to see a turn card but cant call a flop raise,always cbetting when i have some sort of flopped hand i want to protect etc) but there are still alot of spots where i dont really know what to do.

The problem gets magnified when im opening from the SB.I will usually bet when i completely missed and if i get raised,no big deal,i didnt have much of a hand anyway.But would it be sometimes more correct to just check fold?
Seems very weak,but feels like im losing more than i should to cbets in those spots.

If any of you play ZOOM,are there times where you are OOP and just check fold flop even though you were the pf aggressor?

Could the theory of cbetting close to 100% of the time after opening be the most correct one?


Without reads/stats,is it ever correct to just check/fold this flop?
