BTN: $5.27 (105.4 bb)
SB: $4.69 (93.8 bb)
BB: $5 (100 bb)
Hero (UTG): $7.20 (144 bb)
MP: $8.43 (168.6 bb)
CO: $10.31 (206.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 7 2 T T
Hero calls $0.05, 2 folds, BTN calls $0.05, SB completes, BB checks

Flop: ($0.20) T 9 9 (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.09, BTN calls $0.09, 2 folds

Turn: ($0.38) 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.18, Hero calls $0.18

River: ($0.74) 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.71, Hero raises to $1.68, BTN raises to $4.95

Should i believe he has the 9 here. I was unsure with no reads and the call on the river made me believe he had a 9 or JJ. Most I think would raise with QQ+ at this level. Could be an underpair float I guess but the reraise on the river so large instead of a calll made me think it was stronger.

Fold pre.
Bet or x/r turn.
Can x/c river praying villain is fishy enough to have QQ+ here
after raise lol fold (you can easily have like AKQ9 here, so the only reasons why he doesn't think so are that he's insane or has the 9).

Fold pre
Sizing a little bigger on flop
Not checking turn
Not check/raising river.

As played, fold river.

Fold pre - You have a weak starting hand and you're out of position
Bet flop bigger - Multi-way in a limped pot there's a strong chance of an opponent holding a 9 or strong draws and you want to extract max value
Bet turn - Straight draws come in and many 9xxx hands also contain 8s, so again you want to charge max value. As played, check-raise for all the same reasons as above
Check call river - You're not getting a raise called by any hands that you beat.

Thanks for the replies. I knew it was a poor had selection. That table everyone wanted to limp in and I was getting bored. A big leak. I also tend to set mine more when im bored. Most likely the reason my redline is so bad.

So I played this next hand soon after the last one with the same villian. At this point he seemed to be playing every hand aftrr about 16 or so hands(ended up with 29%vpip after bigger sample)

    BTN: $5 (100 bb)
    Hero (SB): $4.76 (95.2 bb)
    BB: $8.62 (172.4 bb)
    UTG: $10.72 (214.4 bb)

    Preflop: Hero is SB with A J 2 J
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.15, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.13, BB folds

    Flop: ($0.35) 4 J 9 (2 players)
    Hero checks, MP checks

    Turn: ($0.35) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.17, MP raises to $0.51, Hero raises to $1.44, MP raises to $4.66, Hero calls $3.17 and is all-in

    River: ($9.57) 8 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

    Spoiler:
    Results: $9.57 pot ($0.47 rake)
    Final Board: 4 J 9 4 8
    MP showed 2 4 5 A and lost (-$4.76 net)
    Hero showed A J 2 J and won $9.10 ($4.34 net)

Is this a good hand to play on the button. Since it's not very connected but has nut drawing potential could this be a 3bet pre hand with the thought at the time that villian is playing most hands. Villian also raised here where he has been limping in and is UTG. I was thinking of betting flop here with a likely straight draw on the board but he checked it after raising pf and i felt he most likely didnt have a big drawing hand because of that and he needed to catch up.

I ask about the 3bet because that is the next big leak I have. I want to open up my range and as it stands a 3bet from me gives my hand away as an AA hand which causes me to not to want to 3bet AA hands also.

Dont even bother trying to "spice up" your 3bets up until around PLO25.

Really, noone is paying attention and they dont give a **** anyway.Do 95% of your 3bets for value.

That means that you flat QJJTds from Btn vs a nitty UTG but you 3bet it from SBvsBTN

Youll see tons of ppl 3betting or cold calling 3bets with double suited crap but they do it because they overvalue those 379Tds junk, not for deception.
