This hand is kinda interesting. On the one hand i have a blocker to a straight. On the other hand i also block his bluffs which would most likely be KKxx hands i assume. Assuming he could bluff like that, which is a fair assumotion especially considering less than pot size raise on the turn, having a K is still more good than bad. But should i call river? Given the price he only has to bluff 1 time for every 2.6 value hands or so. I think he would continue on the river always if he decided to bluff the turn but i might be wrong. Therefore i think i should call. What do you think?

disclaimer: i'm new and trying to improve my game

i bet/gii or check/gii if he's float happy on these boards. calling turn is going to put you in a real difficult spot on the river and i think you get bluffed off the best hand, miss value or value own yourself too often

You are overthinking it. This is rarely a bluff/worse value hand at these stakes so you should fold. Having a K is irrelevant.

As for the K straight blocker, I wouldn't even consider this too much in my decision to call/ fold river, the more relevent blockers are the KQss that block all of the spade combos that would get to the river this way as a bluff. Given we block the only bluffs villain might have by this river and that villain is pretty much never playing his hand this way with something we beat I'm folding river.

It makes sense to put villain on some sort of KJTx combo that's raising turn to get value from our 2p+ and spade draws.

Your conclusion is fine, but the Qs/8s do not block all of the BTN's bluffs (nor would the Ks/Qs).

I completely misread hero's hand. Thought it was KQ of spades.

For example if we did block the K and Q high spades, what bluffs do you think villain turns up with here if any?

Flopped gutters or weaker FDs with KK/JJ (like AKK, AJJ); weaker spade draws with gutters (and without KK/JJ) probably somewhat less frequently. KsQsQx8x is indeed a pretty bad bluffcatcher as you said, even though some bluffs (looks like 25-33% or so) still exist.
