Second Nuts 3bet pot turning NFD with awkward turn Second Nuts 3bet pot turning NFD with awkward turn

Hey Guys !

from my PLO adventures i have this Hand :

We 3bet A5K6 DS in Zoom 50 HU Pool.

Villain flats FLOP : 234 giving us the 2nd nuts and NFD.

I go for half pot and villain calls

TURN : 4x

Now there is a Full house which I think my Opponent wont have very often.
I was more worried about him having 36

So I check and he goes for 2/3.

I am never folding this but my thought process was maybe I can get him off his 36.

So I check raise pot he gets it in and showes 36 we dont get there and lose 200 Dollar pot.

Check Flop ? Call Turn ? Dont raise ?

afterwards I think I could have seen the River a Little bit cheaper. Also I think some Villains would fold 36 in that spot.

I dont have any stats or reads on my Opponent.

Kind regards,

GirlieBurger

I think you have an error somewhere in your post. You have the flop as 234 giving yourself the nuts with 56, which beats 36 on basically every river card in this spot. Maybe the flop should have been 245 not entirely sure.

Whatever the flop actually is I would like a check in this spot instead of a half pot sized bet. Positions aren't listed but villian's range is going to be stronger on this board than our range. We shouldn't be 3-betting many hands that hit this board. I do like the 3bet pre as long as they are DS in the good way.

I like the turn play but it's hard to say not knowing the exact flop.
