I have played pot limit omaha for some months now, i wanna take my game more seriously. I have played micro stakes between 0.02/0.05 to 0.10/0.25
With some decent results.
Ive been thinking about buying the book "Mastering Pot Limit Omaha: The Modern Aggresive Aprroach".
Any thoughts on this book? Any other book i should also read?

Cheers, SmashMellow

Haven't read that one yet, but most books are worth a read.

4 books by Jeff Hwang are worth a look.

Pot Limit Omaha: The Big Play Strategy
Advanced PLO: vol 1, 2 and 3

An essential subscription to Run It Once is also worth it.

Iva read the big play by Jeff Hwang. Had some good concepts and helped me with my outs&odds, but was mostly for full ring. Have you read the other ones?
Are they more about shorthanded or HU?
Looking for Heads up mostly.

Cheers

Yes, I have read The advanced PLO series and it is 6max, I can't recall if they touch on HU. I'm rereading them, so I'll let you know

Is this serious or a troll post? I only ask because I looked at the review thread for this book here on 2p2, and the reactions were EXTREMELY polarized (from: "pretentious douchebag verbosely re-stating the obvious" to "Profound, one of the most helpful books I've read" --- not direct quotes obv).

I liked his videos way back but not sure about his style of writing... But if you aren't trolling with the recommendation (plus it does have a rec by Observer84), maybe I'll get it.

What do you all think about Jeff Hwang's book Pot-Limit Omaha Poker The Big Play Strategy?

I really liked Haseebs book, more of an updated, online player focused version of Greenstein's Ace on the River

Solid read. Aimed mostly at full ring, but the concepts are still widely applicable.

Gets across the fundamental concepts of big draws, redraws and what hands are considered the premiums, playable, garbage, etc.

For someone starting out, I think its a must read. For those that are experienced and haven't read it, I thinks its a nice refresher.

not a troll. i think ppl don't like his books because of the author, not the content

The Hwang books are the most recent and helpful IMO. I have read nearly everything available and have found very little good info but I gained a ton of knowledge from some videos I saw by Vanessa Selbst and some others on a training site.
