    Hi!

    Villain is 18/14 AGG% 36 over 80 hands.
Would You prefer a c/ or cbet OTF?
I think turn is standard once we c/ flop.
What about river? Can't fold vs this sizing? What if villain had potted it?

    Thanks!

Depends how wide he leads turns, I think we can fold here vs an 18/14 nit though

I would probably cbet flop. I can't access PPT right now but I'm guessing we're doing more than ok against his range here.

As played I call turn and fold river.

This plus we don't care if we get raised since our equity isn't good vs. a raising range.

What's your reasoning for checking back the flop? Seems like an ideal spot to semi-bluff and take down the pot uncontested.

As played, does seem like a river fold. The off-suit 8 improves a lot of your turn calling range so unless the villain was extremely aggressive and likely to bluff with air, it feels like a strong value bet. He's unlikely to bet the Jack-high straight here too and definitely not trips so we can only beat a bluff.

Pretty standard cbet, don't have to go big. I like checking back the bigger draws here when I at least have a pair.

Its probably call turn, and river is pretty close. You can call river if you have reads, but most people will have nut straight as bottom of value range here, and not a lot of bluffs. You are kind of face up as a straight once you check back flop since you wouldn't check back flop with trips. That's why cbetting flop is nice. We get information, narrow his range by taking out most pure bluffs, and keeps our range uncapped.
