Villian is a reg(27/13), he opens CO(18% CO steal), I 3bet button AQT9ss.

Flop is Q84 with a possible flush draw. Villian has a c/r flop of 11% and a raise cbet in 3bet pots of 40%,(fold to cbet in 3b pots of 40%). So he's pretty aggro in these spots. Knowing this, do we still bet/fold in position? We still have some equity and a non-flush Jack gives us the nuts. Should we check behind to realize our equity or just go ahead and cbet anyways?

b/f would be the worst line to take. If we decide to bet we have to GII.. I mean this guy is c/r any Q or 8 here as well as any wrap draw. PPT it and see how we do against such a wide range.

SPR is only 4, you have TPTK with a nut gutter on a board that doesn't hit a 20% opening range very well. Betting here will be very profitable, if you get jammed on you're committed to stack off (it's not really close).

Not happy if hero bets and gets raised. Not calling on that board with only top pair and a gutter. No hero doesn't have to call.

Wow the thought of bet/jamming never even occurred to me. Now that I think about it, against this type of villain, it makes sense. I've been thinking on the wrong level. Learn something new everyday.

Could this monkey really be c/ring an 8? If he would c/r with an 8, mine as well be doing it with a 4 too, what's the difference?

Now the question becomes, is it better to bet/jam or pot/jam? Potting gives us more FE but it looks like exactly what it is. Whereas a standard cbet looks more legit.

I vote bet / jam. Villain might think twice about c/r'ing light when he sees you pot unless you generally cbet pot.

bet/jam! the hands that crush you are really unlikely to be in villans range: sets are really hard for him to have and you block Q so its unfortunate if he has a drunk 88xx or 33xx; 2 pairs you block some; pair+wrap/wrap you block them too.. so if villan is so agro in x/raising here you got a pretty good spot!

Bet/call makes it easy. I dont like checking this unless we start checking back some kind of flush draws as well.
