I played a week of PLO25 with my new HUD. I am pretty new to this software stuff and dont know how to use it well for now.

What conclusions can I draw from this? I mean obviously I ran pretty decent, but how does a PLO graph has to look like? Does the EV line always has to kiss the Cwon line 1:1? I mean there are alot of 50:50 spots in PLO, it either goes up or down

So even if i take the EV Line alone, i would have still won, especially if you take rakeback into account (supernova).

I want opinion if I have to go back to lab because there is such a void between EV and Cwon or can I just keep playing for now and ride the wave as they say

(EV should be going up but sample is negligible so just be happy youre sunrunning for now)

Was thinking about it but dunno. I kind of want 5k roll for plo 50 to handle the swings. Im at 2.1k currently. I built up such a solid foundation at 25. I have notes on pretty much every regular player there

Although i might take a 500 dollar shot once i reach 2.5k. How bad can it be. The faster u get out of high rake the better i suppose

so yesterday i jumped into plo 50 and it went absolutely ridiculous. the standard mega run bad when you move up. I mean things were happening you couldnt believe it. get it in with 95% couple times and lose on river. absolutely horrifying.

how i still managed to turn it out of the hole seems remarkable to myself cause usually when sh*t like that happens i sometimes completely go off and lose it

Will stick to PLO25 for now. the swings at plo 50 reminded me how it can *** up your bankroll in one night. dont want that

a lot of people have the same kind of runbad at 50, sometimes it's easier if you skip 50 and go straight to 100 where the rake is lower

No, you can run like this for a very long time. Or start running bad for a very long period and never "get back" lost ev in allins. Anything can happen.

Not necessarily. You don't take into account that you might have tilt if you were loosing a lot of allins. Also you might have been running good in other spots like finding yourself good in setups.

You have to but it does have nothing to do with difference between EV and Cwon. You don't have any power over this.

Then i lost 60% what I earned in 8k hands

becareful of PLO, unless its a 500k+ hands I honestly dont think you can make a read off of it to be honest

Impressed with myself how I overcome a huge tilt moment, which was my own fault. I jumped into 2 tables PLO 50 HU Zoom. Couldnt keep up with the pace at the start, tilted hard. Fought back though. Later went on to play regular PLO 50 and 25.

Somehow im getting impatient. I want up fast, but I cant really jump into higher stakes cause I know my mindset isnt suited for huge swings, i would tilt away my whole role during a sick downswing probably. I just want to reach the 15-20k state and play PLO 200 and make some real money

Nevermind your obsession with the EV line. It can drift from the actual winnings line farther and farther as time goes on, in a Brownian motion way.

Besides, all it is is a measurement of equity when there's no more betting. A lot of money goes in prior to that with various equity differences.

My roll was at 3.6k at peak. I got bored of PLO 6max and jumped into PLO50 HU Zoom (again). Ran into some huge coolers and suckouts, got tilted so hard and blew away 500 in total. Ragequitted (sadly not for good) and jumped into 4 Tables PLO 50 Zoom (i usually do two for max concentration). Played like a complete idiot, potted flops, called sh*t hands pre vs 3bet 4bets, the usual idiot donkey mode.

Lost another 1k in record breaking 3 hours or something like that. Went to my job almost in complete mental delirium (like the guy in Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels after he lost his whole role ).

Like a true degen i played small session on my smartphone during break times. Surprisingly didnt lose that much there

After I came home i jumped once again into 4 Tables PLO 50 6max + some ZOOM HU session in between. Of course i still had the huge tilt in me how I am so dumb, how I cant stop at the right moment, how I play games (HU) i just shouldnt. Probably everyone knows that mode. When your only thought is the money you have lost, you want to win it back every pot. The result is always the same. Dropped from 2k to 1,2k in record time again.

Some sort of consciousness kicked in looking at my bankroll and I banned myself for PLO 50 and above. Went back to my home game (PLO 25). Got something back but blew it again after building huge stacks, losing another 300. Bankroll at 900 at this point. Decided im going to remove all my restrictions on playing higher limits and jump into PLO 100/200 the next days for an all or nothing play. While i settled with that idea in my mind, i decided to play a bounty builder donkament.

the poker gods showed some mercy on my poor punished degen soul and i finished top 5 for 3,2k . Canceled my plans on playing 100/200. Kept my restriction on for PLO 50 and above. Gonna concentrate on PLO 25 til i Reach 5k (4,1k currently). Never ever going to play PLO HU Zoom again without preparation. Decided im gonna punch myself as hard as I can in my degen face the next time i fail to approach a 10 Buy in stop/quit concept. A degen only learns through true pain.

Bottom line is, I really need to work on my mental game, which in my opinion is probably the most important skill to become a consistent winning player. You just have to know when to quit, take breaks, regather, dont tilt on coolers, keep playing your game at the max level possible. It is just so important.

Btw what happened to the tiltbreaker Addon in Hm2? Is it gone? How can I get it? That sh*t would probably be worth a million to me. Just a simple reminder like "hey idiot you just lost 10 buy ins, take a break" would help so much.

Once I reach 5k, i will take a break and sign up for 1 month elite access on run it once and watch all the Pro Videos and take notes. Gonna play on low volume during that period. Once i finish the month of studying, I will once again take a hopefully solid and prepared shot at PLO 50.

Great Article. And so true. To crush poker you really need to be stable, like Jeans89 or Ben86, methodical machines. Jeans89 told in the podcast that he never gets really upset about a hand. Its just not his nature. Im an emotional guy, its really tough for me to keep sh*t together after I got punched in the face bad beat wise a couple times.
