This guy is loose and fishy. But did I play this correctly? Not sure if I should be stacking off? Would you play it any differently?

I'm new to PLO, can you let me know where my logic is wrong here because I'm having a hard time playing hands like these profitably.
If we flat pre we still lose but lose a lot less.
If we 3-bet pre we are announcing our hand but given the flop and v's holdings, wouldn't most people just go away with our c-bet?

As played, I probably shut down after the flop call and without getting some kind of draw on the turn I'd check fold to a pot sized bet but probably station away a reasonable bet on the turn hoping to counterfeit J10 on the river.

if 8d was say Td or Jd, 3bet would be fine. still op's hand is stronger pre against btn player but I personally wouldn't 3bet. if villain had JT, he would probably raise flop. when he just calls he reps Jx, Q9, 89, KQ is kinda blocked. basically one pair with maybe a gutshot or non-nut oesd. if you check turn you create a lot of problems and as you can see op had 38% on the turn even against 2 pair, it's not like he's dead. so basically betting turn because of fold equity, sometimes you even have an equity advantage and sometimes just get a fold which is also not bad.

Makes sense. Just with his flat I'd be putting him on at worse a sd that can easily turn into 2 pair
I guess with that range the turn seems to be a pretty safe card and continued pressure is the best route.
Just seems like a single pair on the river in Omaha is rarely good.

Thanks!

1 pair is often good but usually you are not playing big pots. This player was so loose though, and like you said that turn card looked like a brick, I thought he'd either fold which they will do a lot or continue with worse which they also do a lot. In this case he hit but like MD said I still had ~40%.

I 3-bet him for pure value. His range is stupid weak. Flatting might be better though, because I'm still OOP and I don't need to bloat the pot unnecessary.

Like I said, I'm just starting to mess around with PLO as my live game has put it in the mix and I vary between flatting and 3bet AAxx/KKxx hands (I know you were single suit).
After talking and thinking it out I like your line the best, gave you the best chance to win.
I've burned up plenty or buy ins with the AA/KK hands when I 1st started so being a little more cautious now but don't want to turn into a scared nit!

Against a loose player I definitely 3bet this hand for 100bb.

This is an almost premium hand against just a button raise. I think the occasional flat is fine, but I prefer a 3bet vs any non-nit.

Postflop hand is an easy bet/GII given SPR

I might size a little bigger on the flop oop but the line is fine
