Villain is TAG playing 30/20/7.6 with F2CB 47% over 1.6k hands. I'm mostly concerned about turn play but comments on all streets are highly appreciated.

Is ck/calling flop better than bet/calling? SB is a loose-passive fish.

River must be a fold as played?

My preference would be to fold this hand pre.

As played, if you're gonna c/c turn, I'd rather b/f it instead. Fold river.

5 handed I play this hand fom MP always, and might 3-bet it from the button (especially 150 bb deep). It's a very powerfull hand with the gap being on the high side.

If you bet flop (which is fine), you have to bet turn when you improve.

As played fold river vs an ABC player.

Not sure this is a powerful hand at all. 9876 with a suit is a powerful hand. 9875 with a suit is another good hand. Our hand is really not good at all with the gap at the top.

Its not a "powerful" hand but I'm definitely playing it with a fish in the SB.

Turn is really close between b/f and c/c. I really don't mind c/c at all, you don't want to have to fold this to a raise, and its nice to keep some strongish hands in your c/c range on the turn.

Usually fold river vs an ABC player I don't mind looking him up from time to time.

Agree with everything. The fish in the SB makes this an easy open in my opinion.

The fear of having to fold to a raise was the main reason for check/calling turn here and yeah, it's good for balancing too.

Uhm, you do realize that the hand is way better with the gap on the low side, right? You have probably read this somewhere without ever thinking about why that is and then mixed it up.

pre is w/e, can open this in weaker lineups for sure.
rest of the hand is also fine, I think river is a fold.

Open pre is meh/close but like how you played it post. I'm def check/calling this turn OOP this deep and trying to straighten out or get to showdown cheaply unimproved.
