Pre Flop:
I decide to go for a 3-way pot here, because:
1. Stack sizes of UTG, BTN are deep enough to set mine. I can hit a set over set with my kings to win a big pot.
3. On some flops I can go for a second nut flush draw with the K and Q of hearts.

I don't want to cold 4-bet because:
1. I can't face a 5-bet. This is almost certainly AAxx on these stakes. I will have 30% equity when this happens.
2. If I don't end up all in, I will enter a 3-way pot out of position with about 20% of my stack in the middle. This will put me in a difficult stack to pot ratio. Especially with this hand that doesn't flop a lot of good flops frequently. Pushing an overpair for two street with no back doors doesn't feel that good.

A factor that makes the pre flop call a little bit worse is the possibility that the initial raiser will 4bet, which is bad for my hand.

Flop:
I decide to check raise because:
1. My hand is never a big dog against another hand (even AAxx gives me around 42%)
2. Against a combo draw hand (f.e. Jxxxhh) I am a big favourite.

My questions:
My level of thought on the turn was very limited. I actually wasn't really sure what to do. I have several questions:
1. When is it better to lead? (I thought the turn will be difficult)
2. When is it better to check raise? (Turn difficult with a non hitting free card?)
3. Do I actually want to stack off on this board? I will never be a big dog, but also never a big winner. Against AAxx, JJxx, AJxx, A9xx, I will have around 40-45% equity. I actually feel that I shouldn't stack off because of this.
4. I don't feel I can play for showdown value here and when I don't hit a good card on the turn the equity of my hand really drops. This makes bet - calling really difficult and fault heavy.

I think I wrote already to many questions. I really hope you guys can help this PLO-noob a bit with this hand.

The problem with your hand is that its never better to lead or check/(effective)jam . you hold nut fd+gutshot and 2 K blockers, so count in the fact UTG is leading 0.5bb away from pot and we can conclude he has very often AJ and second most often hand is JJ, you block other hands he could potentialy lead here such as AKQT with nfd.

When i know i am against that range, i dont have enough equity to stack off right on the flop.

i would check/fold with naked nfd if i think i am never getting paid off when turn is flush, because i dont have pot odds to call since i am effectively seeing only 1 card (turn) , because he will jam all turns which are not flush.

with nfd+gutshot+effective top set draw 2 outs, i am check/calling as there is no other option, because you have implied odds when u hit set or straight, although tiny percentage you will get stacked if u hit set to his random straight.

and finally to correct your fear and feeling bad about stacking off with less than 50% equity if thats what i felt from your sentence about it : it is correct to stack off with various equities ranging basically in any equity you like. The key to stacking off with this low equity is to make an aggressive move where u put big % of your stack in the middle, such as check/pot in this situation. The more opponent folds to your raise , the less equity you need to have when he calls. However in this situation you have very low fold equity, i assume somewhere between 0%-10% , i would count that as no fold equity. Your opponent is taking very strong line declaring he will stack off when anyone jams.

While not directly answering to your 4 questions, when i looked at my post, it actually answered all of them. Hope this helps.

Dear TrueHeart,

Thank you kindly for your clear and constructive response. I can only agree with the answers you gave.

I have to correct my though process by correcting the thoughts:
1. "I need at least ..% equity". Think about my range, the range of villain, take the fold equity and implied odds in to account. Than I reach the same conclusion as you.
2. "a check / call here is weak, what do I do when I don't hit a good card on the turn". This reasoning doen't apply after correcting the first thought.

And last but least you're right about the feeling you extracted from my text. Now it's time to apply these advices and put theory in to practice. The reason there is "fear / feeling bad" is because I didn't have the answers to tackle them. Thanks again.
