Just wanted to see if there is another way to play this. Table has been dead for about 1.5hrs, very passive, not a lot of raising and no 3B. Over the last 20 minutes activity has picked up, more open raising.

PLO10 6-max.

Hero (SB) 90BB
V1 (CO) 110BB
V2 (BTN) 60BB

Preflop:
MP open raises pot, V1,V2 call.
Hero calls: Kc4cQQ
BB calls.

Flop: Qx8c7c

Checks around to V1 who bets pot, V2 re-pots.

Does Hero have any other option other than shoving?

Would calling, assuming V1 doesn't re-pot, and then stacking off on a safe turn card be an option?

TIA.

I'd just get it in on the flop, we have a chance to boat up and I wouldn't like to fold turn with so much money in the pot and such a strong hand

If you call the flop you have 44.5bb behind in a pot that is 105bb at the very minimum. Every turn is 'safe'.

lmao. The reason for calling the reraise would be to avoid having someone hero fold a lower set, not to wait for a "safe turn"

What the **** is a SAFE TURN CARD YOU HAVE TOP SET AND KING HIGH FLUSH DRAW WHAT AREYOU TALKING ABOUT?

Sorry you lost the hand you goofer

I really don't get it, am I high and COMPLETLEY misreading the post or something? Did someone put something in my drink? what the **** is going on

Thanks gents.

I re-shoved and V1 called.

V1: Ac10c98
V2: 88XX

V1 scooped w/river flush.

Not a big deal.

You can call but it's not making your hand any more deceptive or going to make your opponents make too many more mistakes with hands they were probably going to make mistakes with if you shove anyway. Also if you call you can fold exactly 0 turn cards given the SPR at that point.

Tldr every option other than fold is fine.

About as much of a fist pump/shove as it gets.

Agree,

I was thinking about a variation of a "stop-n-go" play from my holdem days because I found that players were more likely to stack off with a flush draw on the flop vs the turn. I found that my win rate went up with this play because I would lose less on those times the flush hit because Villain would value bet more often than shove..

I suppose the play would work if everyone was much deeper.

I must be a sadist to want to keep playing this game.

Hero (SB) 70BB : QcKcKs4s
Villain (MP) 100BB : QsJsJd9x

Board: 7cKdAs, 6s, 10d

Villain open raised pf, c/c pot size bet on flop & turn then lead out on river for 1/2 pot.

I screwed up my position, I was on button.

I decided to pot it because I wanted to get value, bet on the come in case I fill up, etc. His aggression factor was above average so I felt he would call and I figured I'd play this type of board differently by making the player pay for the front door flush draw.
