partypoker - $0.10 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 4 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

A beatiful hand to call 3bet, yet we have Q high. Where do we start bluffing at this hand? Flop we got a gutter, but I elected to x/behind as was afraid from a x/r. Probably I should have bet turn, bet river? I know the river bet doesn't make much sense at all, but I went for a small sizing bluff nevertheless.
Hero (CO): 224.6 BB
BTN: 103.7 BB
SB: 106.5 BB
BB: 176.4 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q T 9 J

Hero raises to 3.5 BB, BTN calls 3.5 BB, fold, BB raises to 14.5 BB, Hero calls 11 BB, fold

Flop: (33 BB, 2 players) 8 6 2
BB checks, Hero checks

Turn: (33 BB, 2 players) 5
BB checks, Hero checks

River: (33 BB, 2 players) 3
BB checks, Hero bets 17 BB, BB calls 17 BB

Hero shows Q T 9 J (High Card, Queen)
(Pre 44%, Flop 31%, Turn 28%)
BB shows 6 K A K (One Pair, Kings)
(Pre 56%, Flop 69%, Turn 73%)
BB wins 63.7 BB

Why are you afraid of getting check raised? If you want to have a credible bluff line you should probably start by betting the flop.

I like betting flop and setting up to put in multiple barrels. Your hand is a great combo to start bluffing with given your nut gutter and a heap of flush/ straight/ pair turns that you pick up a tonne of equity on. On top of all that this board favours your range *more than the 3bettors as he's going to have more high pairs, high card heavy type hands that don't hit this board particularly hard.

Also on the point of being worried about getting check raised, there are very few hands villain can check raise flop or turn here for value and I'm more inclined to believe villain would be straight out betting his strong value hands himself given how passive/ weak you played this hand and likely play your other hands which would not incentivise villain to have much of a x/r range if at all

If I`m bluffing this hand, I`ll start OTF for sure and go for three on most runouts!
