I've dabbled around in PLO, but I haven't been very successful, I play it more fun than as a source of revenue. I've lost too many times with the second nut hand, do you guys only go all in with the absolute nuts? What pointers do you have for newbies, I'm good at hand selection and preflop play, but get bent over post flop...

This is like asking on holdem, should I pay 3 barrels only with Top pair + ?

If you want to learn the game, you have to go deeper than that.

Relative hand strength and understanding range vs range would be a good start

ask yourself whether you beat a valuebet/raise, and if there are worse hands that could call your bet/raise.

for example, I wouldn´t mind getting it in with 889x on a 984 board, but I wouldnt really consider raising a potsize river bet on a AKQJTr board with T933
I´d probably wouldnt hesitate too much with 76ss on a 88s99sTs board, but I would not 3bet a river raise with AAxx on 99924

you get the point i guess...

No absolutely not. Like any form of poker your strategy must be dependent upon your opponent's strategy. If I thought my opponent was bluffing I would call all in with even a very weak made holding such as one or two pair. In certain aggro dynamics top two is an auto stack off, middle set is usually a stack off especially short handed. If SPR is shallow enough even a somewhat weak draw can suffice.

What stakes are you playing? Are you buying in short stacked or otherwise??
And in reply to OmahaFanatical's post; Don't tell Coltin to be calling all-in haha

PLO is a rad game & even though my play isn't as bad as it was a few yrs ago. My understanding of Omaha's complex nuances are at a basic level but still I have some advice for a fellow microfish...
Already imo by talking about a source of revenue, you are taking it too seriously at this point. "Like any form of poker your strategy must be dependent upon your opponent's strategy." - There's infinitely more situations that your strategy will have to evolve with. Like pushing your position & over-playing massive draws on the flop is a good time when donks like me will bet all-in without the absolutes. Because when all your nut draws miss then everytime you've decisions to make on the river. Which to me is always simpler when playing tournaments. Showdown value etc.
Limited success only means there is still a lot that you can learn. Until recently I haven't played poker for ages so Full Tilt always had the best PLO tourneys while if I recall Stars had sum fairly soft microfish competition.
If you want to improve your Omaha skills then you might also learn a few things playing PLH. Stick to pot-limit tournaments for a while!

Bet sizing and hands with multi-way draws with at least 1 nut way.
