Re: ~ PLO and Life ~ The art of balance ~

I've been watching this almost every day to grind through the exam period, find it super motivating and also makes me want to get back in shape to start playing basketball again next year

"most of you say you want to be successful, but you don't want it bad, you just kind of want it. You don't want it badder than you wanna party, you don't want it as much as you want to be cool most of you don't want success as much as you want to sleep"

this quote really stuck home and i find true in my personal case

also really like the phrase "I have an opportunity to make a dream become a reality"

Re: ~ PLO and Life ~ The art of balance ~

I feel sympathy for those grinders who have non-grinder gfs and esp those who're gonna expat with them. In my rigged opinion gfs are nothing but shackles and pita, eating into winrate if they can't supply themselves. I prefer to look for a self-sufficient gf after settling down in an ultimate country (or have several ones if multicountrying ). A colleague of mine has moved to Geneve for postgrad and left his gf at home for a year when she was finishing uni, she's just graduated so I'll see what happens next, hopefully their relationship hasn't dissolved yet.

+1, it's possible to combine poker and uni but I've found uni too unpromising in terms of income as I can do hardly any non-scientific work, it will never be gone anyway. Social life is to be forgotten (I'm missing a schoolmate meeting today because I respect my sleeping schedule and I've got nothing to boast for the 17-month period) but y'all say balancing isn't required at the micros, so I regard it as an example of exploitable life Micro players simply don't have a sufficient hourly to maintain social life.

Btw does programming for poker count as such a project? I obv mean writing a hand chart generator for PPT I've just posted about, but I'm too lazy even to write an autorebuy AHK script atm, let alone FPDB plugins.
