plo 50 deep

Villian is 26/20/8.8 aggr 5.5
raise cb 63% in 3bet pot after 163 hands, btn open raise 50%

[converted_hand][hand_history]IPoker, $0.25/$0.50 Pot Limit Omaha Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #13733592

MP: $50 (100 bb)
CO: $91.65 (183.3 bb)
BTN: $190.74 (381.5 bb)
SB: $30.50 (61 bb)
Hero (BB): $109.38 (218.8 bb)
UTG: $63.56 (127.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with T 7 9 J
3 folds, BTN raises to $1.75, SB folds, Hero raises to $5.50, BTN calls $3.75

Flop: ($11.25) T 8 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $7, BTN raises to $24.18, [color="red"]Hero ?

The questions are:
Is it profitable to 3bet this oop vs competent reg(or vs good agressive reg on 50plo) this deep 200+bb/100bb deep??
Is it ok to call flop and donk pot most non flush turns with this hand (because most of his range here for my opinion consists of strong flush draws+smth and how do you see his range?)? we'll have about 60$ in the pot and 80$ behind on the turn if we call his flop raise.

Let's say turn is
a)non spade A,
b) non spade K,
c) 3 of clubs
d) 5 diamonds
e) 8 diamonds
f) 8 of clubs

Re: plo 50 deep

My $0.02: the hand is too weak to 3bet imho, flat and be cautious otf. The lead/call looks a bit strange to me (do you pot-control with sets OOP?), it's an exploitative line vs a villain who folds too much turns. My default line would be to merge, i.e. 3bet sets, top two, maybe top and bottom, strong draws like your 17-wrap or NFD, weak draws with blockers, and fold bottom two and weak draws without blockers. Flatting with your wrap is better than folding because he's giving you the odds, but your flatting range is so weak and transparent (it's hard to balance it by two pairs) that he can play vs you quite perfectly ott. So I guess flatting doesn't exploit his loose flop raising to the same extent as rebluffing.

Disclaimer: Advice coming from PLO newb.

preflop, I think our 3b range oop vs a competent aggro reg should be very low.. perhaps ~3% and basically contain premium aces/kings and premium rundowns.

OTF, I also like ch/c vs a super aggro reg that raises a high % of cbets in 3b pots. Our hand cant stand a raise, but is good enough to ch/c HU.

Re: plo 50 deep

I personally think the 3bet is preferable. It's a solid hand that plays well against a wide range. On the flop I think you should either be betting bigger ($9-$10) and shipping it over a raise, or check/calling. As played, it's close between call and ship. I probably ship but I'm not fist-pumping because...

Re: plo 50 deep

no shipping, against FD the wrapis not good enough anymore.
sometimes the cards look better than they are...
call the flop. look the turn, if its blanked, we can give up.
if u ship it seems that villian is calling, give him two pair FD , gutshot FD , set FD .

i wouldnt overplay it

Re: plo 50 deep

Hi
Pre: there is not a lot of fold equity of the 3-bet here so what is your purpose ? Make the pot grow ? Balance your 3-bet range ? I prefer call here.
Post : i like call and donkbet any turn.

Re: plo 50 deep

3bet is fine pre. We are deep enough to call a 4b and play for stacks on a lot of flops. In most spots I just call the flop raise. If you don't think that this villain will raise worse wraps than I would call but if he has been raising with top two and weak wraps I would probably just GII on the flop (having TP makes a big difference playing against the wraps in his range). Also is he is a reg and paying a little attention he is probably putting you on AAxx since you 3b PF. A lot of this would depend on your stats and what level you think he is thinking on. .

For you questions yes at 100/200 deep, deeper the better
yes calling and donking any turn that does not complete the flush. If he checks back the flush when it closes and you brick the river I would probably bet the river to try and get him to fold out all his sets. when the board pairs a lot depends more on dynamics.
