    Flop: ($11.25) 4 8 T (2 players)
    MP checks, Hero ?

    villain unknown

We block a T and the Qd, enough to b/c it off? Do we play this any differently without either one or both of these components?
Also what if we were CO vs BTN where I expect his defending range to hit the flop significantly more often.

I think you should pot it here. Only a very few hand ahead of you at this point. And villain has checked. Either some sort of trap or he wants a free card. Make the draws pay, sometimes they will have a monster but most of the time if you bet they do not have the right odds to continue.
Especially if he doesn't have diamonds what can he do ?

Tried to run some numbers on PJ. Put him on a 25% range, excluding 3% 4-betting range.

I put him on a following stack off range:
    4+:dd (pair + flusdraw)
    4+:56+(pair + gutshot)
    56+:dd (gutshot + fd)
    Add (any A-high fd)
    84+(2p and better)
567+ (9 card wrap or better)

That will make 67% of flop range and our equity is 45% against it, EV of bet-calling is $4.91.

If we change Ts to 3c, shoving is still profitable, but has decreased to $1.48.

If we also change Qd to Qh (AhAsQh3c), bet-calling is exactly neutral EV $0.00.

So yes, it looks very much, that bet-calling is the play here.

This is a bet/get the rest in. It's not a fist pump by any means but if villain c/r's here we could still very much see a lot of his range are hands that we beat.
