if you have all your aces 4bing pre he knows you will have flush draw blocker enough of the time to check call with his flush. Some players will fold a turn shove some won't. Who the **** knows. It's a very complicated spot.
Generally, on first level, just potting turn because aswell as you having blocker you also have auto shove becuase of SPR, it's like a crazy oscillation - the cc line is scary because hero is expected to be jamming his AA , he can have flush, or 40%, you have enough stack in to be shoving but maybe you can make more by finding sick folds there, because you have information on all of his behaviors which is reliable enough to narrow his range to certain combos.
On flop I like to bet higher, so I rep less nuts, which will mean he will call wider. Your betsize can induce him aswell, but no I tihnk it reps strong, which is kind of the reverse of what I want to do. So hard for villain to fold two clubs.
At 1/2 on stars against a good player I don't think there's an easy answer. Its real easy to get trapped in some kind of circular logic here. I think I like check/shoving as a bluff on flop. As played check/fold turn. We're not exactly giving up because sometimes he'll be checking through with a set or 2pair.
against a good player it´s a mandatory shove imo. overall, you just have to have some bluffs in your range vs good opposition, and this hand is a very nice candidate for it, although it shouldnt be considered a pure bluff imo. expect to get called in a vacuum more often than not, but if he realizes you c/f the nutblocker and shove the nut flush, you´re open for all sorts of exploitable plays
also, it´s not like your drawing dead vs his calling range, if he calls any flush in this spot, he should also call most 2pair and any set
I'm never checking flop. He's gonna have a flush ~24% of the time and when that happens you're gonna get your stack in with very little equity. On the bright side he's gonna have to fold about half of his range and you're gonna make a solid profit. Checking just allows him to bet polarized and realize equity with middling hands. This is definitely not going to result in a better EV than forcing him to play honest by just betting a committing amount.
If the SPR was 2 or above this becomes a super-interesting spot, as it is there's just too much dead money in the pot.
