I like shoving the flop here.

I just raise, no need to max

we can be weary of non AA/ !AA if he is wide pre but flop raise is strong, and just call

Yea I think potting flop may leave some awkward decisions on varying turn cards

This tends not to matter much EV-wise.

Raise flop, call river.

Fold pre. Raise flop. As played i think a fold is best on river. Villain showed too much weakness on turn to suddenly bluff river and try to get away with it. Sets are def in his range.

I don't think your logic is necesarilly true here. Villain 3-bets from the SB, 33-JJ is very unlikely to do this. When hero calls and villain checks back he potentially caps his range to 2p or less but could of course x/raise the straight here, tough to see what he gets calls by though. On the river it looks like a thin value bet from an overpair KK/AAxx getting a call from Jxxx.

I just don't think his range has sets in it at all here.

I get what you're saying, but can he not have kk77, aa33, aa44, etc? Or even a hand like aa108. Why would he make a pot sized thin value bet when hero plays his hand like he is drawing? Wouldn't that make for a more valuable bluffcatcher? Villain has a ton of showdown value with aa or kk, think you're forgetting that. If he bets and gets raised, villains hand is worthless assuming he has aa or kk. And if like u said he is capped on flop at 2p, well any two pair that is flopped still beats us.
