Pretty basic question, which depends on post flop skills and opponents. If skills are equal, what are your ranges? How optimal ranges are calculated?

BB vs BTN against 3bb bet?

vs. min-raise, defending a lot of hands (80-90%?) since you are getting a great price.

vs. a 3x raise, still a lot of hands but subtract some if the player give you more trouble post-flop

as far as 3betting, it's up to you.

Do you defend strictly by numbers(odds) or do you take any other variables to consideration? Opponents aggressiveness and other post flop play tendencies for example. What factors affect?
