Also,

I'm all for starting the "deep" 50BB min tables and do so when I sit empty. But if there's players sitting alone at a regular 6max table, I'm taking a seat.

Too busy tableselecting to risk starting a new table where they don`t know who their opponents will be.

Re: ****Official Stars Regulars Thread****

I've been playing 2/4 as my main game since I got on my own money, and there are so many tables available at that limit that it's usually smart to just game select rather than start games. Once I move back up to where it's not worth my time to play 2/4 though, I'm definitely going to start more games, just because I feel like my 3-4 handed game is really good, and I have a pretty decent edge on the weaker regs in those games.

Re: ****Official Stars Regulars Thread****

Meh, poor me. Had to make a deposit for renting a house for a year today
Took out most of my pokerstars monies to help pay for it and to stay out of my overdraft.
Still got ~$100 left in my pokerstars account.
What limits 'should' I be playing plo at now?
I'm thinking .25/50 but thats probably too high.

Oh yeah, people talk a lot about game selection, could someone explain what is good game selection for plo? Does it just mean avoiding the good regs on the tables, or is there more to it like looking for a game with a low/high number of players seeing the flop etc?

I likes:

1) Many players seeing the flop.
2) Big pots

I'd start at 10plo if I were you (maybe even 5plo for propper br mgt).

I had about $2 on stars and was helping a friend during milestone week. I sat at 3 .01/.02 plo tables and ended up in a milestone hand, so free$. I've been playing 10plo there as an aside to my reg games and have built it up lil by lil and am on my way to another stars BR. ( just seems too bothersome to deposit and have to worry when you will get your echeck after my last 40 day debacle).

BR mgt FTW is a very true statement at PLO.

I am with you gavz. As predicted numerous times before this finally got created, this thread seems to mainly serve the lurkers/non-sharers and those incapable of making reads/notes/thoughtful conclusions.

Whilst I am all for this forum and members assisting members to improve their individual game through thoughtful strat/advice/insight what have you, I do not see the benefit in simply handing out to God knows how many lurking c-game players the means to specifically exploit player x and/or which whales to put on their buddy lists.

If the latter was the intention of this thread, or where we see it potentially going, then I would personally like to vote to have it deleted. If it was meant to simply be a low content for Stars players thread, then imo gavz and gymratpoker can you edit your posts plz and let's all carry on.

Anyone played with Drexle (sp?!). Played him HU about a month ago, seemed liked a solid player but would occasionally monkey 3-bet with air and give his chips away. Think I've seen him as high as 1/2 in 6max?

-1..... no-one's forcing you at gunpoint to poast itt, and if you do poast itt, you are under no obligation to a) be honest about your own sn (I see your issue there) or b) give out any useful info at all. If other people are doing it, it may cost you a leeeedle bit of $ in the short term, but you pick up a reciprocal edge from it.
