about stacks, ya 100bbs stacks at ante tables are ''short''. i dont think $200 at 1/2ante is 100bbs. its more like 50-60bbs eff. but i think the min and max stacks are good. 100min, 250max, its fine. i agree w what napsus said about 150bbs min stack making fish scared.
fish like to gamble, why sit w $300 at 1/2 if he can play 3/6 or even take a shot at 5/10 ?thats why i think theres less fishs at ante tables then 100bbs.

U guys r prob right in that many fish do this, but there's also many who buy-in full. Whales at the deep tables r rare already, I'd much rather get rid of the SSing regs than be able to play with a couple fish bringing the remainder of their roll to the table - who based on the logic u described would be playing higher with short stacks regardless.

Started table selecting a bit more lately, instead of just going "I feel like playing, I'll fire up as many tables of my usual stake as there's running, and hope to win". This just ends up in playing nitty, reggy tables, where nobody wins. But if you have at least one more aggro 3bettor there, who you can abuse alongside playing your regular TAG game, you'll be going for profit. And the looser the tables, the closer it gets to printing money.

Re: ****Official Stars Regulars Thread****
anyone up for some deepstacked 2plo sometime?
we should totally get like 12+ tables going of all 2p2ers, not allowed to leave unless you lose 250+bis or smt lol

serious question, bcause i noticed you only play ante tables. you prefer play 0.25/0.50 ante than 0.5/1. why if 0.5/1 has more fishs than 0.25/50a ?
|
i should really heed this advice also, cheers urubu for making me think about that :P i always have mentality of deepstack is funner and more interesting which is true but we are trying to win money too not just have fun/lols
also to add to the discussion sinc ei play deep alot, i would prefer if the games were the same players for it to be min. 200bb bi but i think in reality it would be bad for the games. lots of people who would buy in for 100 would not buyin for 200+ and also alot of the players who do buy in for 100bb tend to be weak/scared/worse players imo, ofc you get the nitty regs who are bad for the games and is annoying when you get into tricky spots because of a short stacked player but that happens at normal tables to and if they do win a pot you're playing deep with a player who is probably not as comfortable/used to playing deep so you win money that way. they also tend to do stupid stuff like not buyin 250 when they are deep/position in a fish which is good for you.
But yea in theory it sounds good but i think we'd see a significant hit to the number of deep tables running if it happened

Re: ****Official Stars Regulars Thread****
Can't you do a homegame instead if it's only for the prestige?
Maybe put up a sidebet or w/e

Re: ****Official Stars Regulars Thread****
real money and other people joining if we do only have 4-5 is fun hehe, its better then freezeout imo and crossbooking home games is annoying, its 2plo just for the lols who cares about the rake
the not allowed to leave thing was a joke lol, like i would suggest you have to play 100 vpip but i think if every hand is 4/5/6bet pre and people play stats like 60/40/35 it would be funner then flipping every hand
maybe like first couple rounds all flips to get deep then just start playing w/e people want to lol
