I use HEM2 because I got it free and it's ok now they have patched a lot of the problems but it's still a resource hogging, crash happy piece of software.
Never tried PT3 but if I had paid for HEM2 I would have asked for a refund months ago.
ty for input, i like the way HEM presents thier stats a little better than PT3...that said i heard allot of bad things about HEM2 so went with PT3

jk, im sure it will be fine in this thread, but nonetheless kinda ridiculous that 2p2 strictly enforces that non-self-promotion policy, even when someone thoughtfully writes something helpful to share w/ other people like roy has done w/ his blogs or the whole dn fiasco w/ him getting banned linking his blogs which people were clearly very interested.
Nice blog post roy, i seriously need to go through your archives sometime there was some really good stuff on note taking i read once would be good to recap it again, plus theyre all well written/interesting. I think it's totally fine when it's posted in a forum he's a regular in and the content is interesting/beneficial to the forum users. It's not like he's an unknown making a thread about it for financial gain.

Thanks guys. I've had mixed reactions when it comes to posting the link on 2p2. It has pretty much been 100% fine when posted in the strat forums or internet poker in the SNE thread but I got shot down in an instant when I posted it alongside a book review in the book review forum. That's fair, and i'm definitely pushing the boundaries almost shamelessly plugging the site, but I do believe the content is good and worth reading and it's not like i'm selling anything on the site anyway.
Olangotang I think I wrote a bit about notes in part 4 of the guide, although maybe there was an entire post devoted to it. I was actually very close to making this post solely about note taking which leads me to think I hadn't devoted a whole post to it in the past but i'm not certain. The angle I was thinking of going with was "cleaning up your notes". By now a lot of people are already taking notes and have been for years and if you're like me the note box is overflowing. This can sometimes be a hindrance to wade through rather than beneficial (especially while in-game) so I came up with some tactics to condense the notes and get them back to doing what they should - helping us. I might do that for a future post.
i have absolutely no problems with Roy posting SNE guide links on stars regs thread. if someone else has a problem with it, Roy can pm me the link and i'll post it myself.
I think it's fine too, but 2+2 as a business might have something to say. Roy is def not spamming so I see no reason "look into it", just saying that admins might view it differently if they stumble upon this
