thats why I said, I believe. ffs. I wasn't even aware the freeroll existed and thought you may have been referring to the race, which I was aware of.

oops my bad, I can now log in to Ladbrokes and play

me2, but the freerool got canceled. it said "players will be refunded according to ladbrokes policies", there were 24 players for €5k, I just asked support how this will be done and support told me there will probably not be any compensation since it was a freeroll and there was no buyin. well...

Love it. Gave me a great idea too, I'm gonna try to organize a series of pool/golf/whatever tournaments where a piece of each buy-in goes into a prize pool, which all the winners are gonna compete for in a final tournament. There's not gonna be a buy-in for the final tournament so I'll just run off with the prize pool. Those suckers can try to argue with that all they want, but my logic will be flawless, no buy-in b*tches! Wp Ladbrokes, poker sites are awesome!

I emailed support again and now my concern is being checked by their VIP team.

Good thing about spread networks is you can always vote (or believably threaten to) with your feet. If things don't work out, I hope you do that if you can get a similar deal somewhere.

They do stuff like this all the time sadly. It's like saying a gadget you paid for with rake you received for free. Whenever I feel too offended, I leave and look for another site/affiliate/network.

Are there so few people raking $1.5K+/month at Ladbrokes (that's the requirement for this FR), or were most of them unable to register? Judging by relay race leaderboards, there must be much more high rakers there than 24. (I think there are even about 10 existing or potential Emperors there, and the number of Kings and Emperors combined is at least 50, as the VIP race leaderboard is filled up.)

It's not necessary to leave them, just know for the future that they're often sloppy with promotional offers (which is balanced out by that they make too many of them - 'god gave, god took') and tune expectations down a bit.

Btw, I guess we met once at a PLO100 table back in mid-August when Ladbrokes were still on Microgaming... that was when I was trying to spin a tiny siteroll leftover up and sitting with some random stack size, and finally blew the stack to you in a silly way Alas I'm afraid I can't retrieve HHs from that very session.

Unless Ladbrokes have gone totally downhill, borderline criminal even, then they should be rescheduling the 5k VIP freeroll. I rang support yesterday and they told me it should be rescheduled, which seems to be at odds with what you were told. Morally speaking this really is a no brainer, so there is absolutely no excuse for them to avoid rescheduling the tourny. The outage might have been beyond their control, but this decision is totally within their control. I will be 'very unimpressed' if they try pulling any stunts on this one.

Long term, I think not rescheduling the tourny would be a bad business decision for Ladbrokes poker as well. They could easily lose a few players over this, purely on principle, and gain a bad reputation to boot. I, for one, doubt I would play with them any more. I at least hope their decision will be made today.

Not really. How long have you been with Ladbrokes? They always start off with decent loyalty prize pools, then reduce them. I remember their old 10k MTT leaderboard tourny, which soon went down to 2k. This tourny will also be down to a 2k prize pool soon enough, first dropping to 4k and 3k en route, with like 100 runners when it's filled out. No better than having a 20 euro ticket and that's against good players too.
