Should I Raise the flop to make fold a set (and maybe 2nd, 3nd nuts will call me) or it's ok to call and bet next street? All 3 players have VPIP more than 50.
I think if I Raise the flop the opponents will fold understaning that I have something good here and I will not take the value.
I don't know sometimes how to play nuts on the flop because: 1 - if I bet or R they may fold and I'll earn 0; 2 - if I check or call they can make a full on next streets (I give a free card).
Don't overthink this spot, you played the hand perfectly fine. No need to play tricky at these stakes, just bet bet bet for value, as you can see you were called down by worse flushes.. but with the nuts you want to get called by anything and everything. You're winning money in the long run when they call with worse flushes, sets, 2pairs or pretty much any cards.
On flop if it checks to you, you should bet, as played I'd just call the flop bet like you did and hope villain continues on turn or bet turn myself if checked to.
You're never really giving free cards if you bet when checked to or calling a bet for that matter, our hand doesn't need a lot of protection anyway, we just want to get as much money in the pot as possible but without folding out the worse hands that can call us.
If villains are folding sets and 2nd/3rd nut flushes then just never raise this hand and raise everytime you have a blocker.
raising the monotone boards with blockers exclusively is kind of exploitable.. I understand that you're doing that as an exploit on people folding too wide on monotone boards but if you're not balancing your monotone flop raises with both blockers and strong flushes then you're likely to get called down a lot or even re-bluffed some by competent opponents.
I like the flop slowplay, although I will caution you against slowplaying. Don't do it! It's very bad. Better to never slowplay than to miss out on the few goods spots to do it in. But this is a classic. Lockdown board, lots of players behind to call, probably not getting action if you raise. love it.
