Gents - Long time no talk. Been completely absorbed in moving to the mtns and pretending to have a job (read: blowing out time off) while going on some pretty cool trips around the western US.

Evidence A: Drive from DC to Utah
Evidence B: Rent a house with my buddy, Rudiger
Evidence C: Free rappel in Moab UT
Evidence D: Summit Mt. Rainier with little bro
Evidence E: Break through in climbing and start going through 5.10s.. six month of work!
Evidence F: Climb the big ass mtn visible from my backyard, 6,800' above..

Anyhow, been really stoked to be knocking items off the bucket list and generally doing things I was too lazy to do during college. It feels really good. Hope you guys are doing well and variance has been lenient!

Until the US gets its laws in order re: poker, it'll be tough to play reliably. Until then I'm going to minimize work and maximize taking advantage of the backcountry. Peace out and take care-

Provo

P.S. Belated congrats to LeBron for stepping up to take a title
P.P.S. Sucks most of you guys aren't big baseball fans, but how bout those Nationals? It's been really fun watching the franchise grow, maybe DRose and the other US guys will pick up on that one.

hey provo , good to see ya around.
Nationals looking good, but I would have to say variance has been on their side as they have won many 1 run games. but yeah I'm a fan as well

good stuff, provo.

nationals have been doing well from what i've seen, always had a soft spot for them since they were in the gutter right with the orioles for several years. both teams showing some promise at the moment.

congrats!

poorly. i am break-even player at best, playing tired and therefore frustrated often too. normal 8h working day you might be able to squeeze some a-game sessions in, working 10+h everyday, forget it.

Grats but lolwut? You must be a very althruistic and ethical person who's really in love with medicine.

Poker is not considered as a job for one's whole life, it's usually just a step to a business (e.g. your own clinic). Your case is too complicated as you have to practise continuously, but maybe you can do it part-time if your moral can forgive it...

My brother's wife is an oculist and she used to get very tired and sleepy working 12 hours a day, when she switched to 6 hours she began to feel much, much better...

Found this a really interesting document, with some laughs in it, as well.

I like Bill Maher, the documentary is good, but not great. I think, he is a bit over the top with his atheism, especially the parts where he is in Europe. He thinks, religious people in Europe are completely different to their US counterparts, but he doesnt get this.

I do watch his show Real Time every week and think he is great.
