Have maybe played 500 hands of $0.01/$0.02 so not much experience;
with that being said I've watched some JNandez and Phil Galfond RIO plo vids
so I'm not totally clueless.

-is getting in 100bb vs a totally maniac with AK75 double suited bad?

utg pots, we flat utg+1, hj 3x 3 bets, utg 4 bets small, I ship, hj folded and utg called with QK6xr.

this is 6max right? fold pre the 1st time.
if you are new new PLO you should play around with http://www.propokertools.com/simulations. play tight until you get a feeling for solid postflop play

Getting it in with that hand is perfectly fine against a "totally maniac".

AK75 ds, assuming both suits are ace high and king high is a strong hand. Not typically a hand you would stack off with but it's a top 10% hand. You have to be a little concerned about HJ in this situation. How wide do you estimate him to be three betting?

You are a nice favourite against a super wide range.

Depending on how maniacal UTG is HJ's 3 bet might have to be taken with great caution. If he is auto 4 betting then HJ's 3 bet is essentially a decision to go all in. As always a lot depends on table dynamics.

Sorry, my bad then. Yeah it's definitely important to care about the 3bet range of the hj then. If his 3bet range is less than around 5-7% I would fold.

lolol I was super surprised when he turned the hand over but yeah he got it all in with a 9 high badugi against anothr guy who had AKQT double suited and he won. So I felt like we'd be doing pretty well against him.

Other than AAxx, which I tend to play pretty fast, what's a good hand to get in pre?
