No reads on villain as only recently sat down. He has the button and position. I'm pretty much always going to cbet this flop with the Ad blocker. When he calls behind he could have several holdings, including a flush. I figured that if I keep betting, he will likely call down with sets and a non-nut flush. In the past I would have given up on the bluff here, and check folded.
But when he bet I thought that a check raise looks super strong and polarises my hand to the nut flush or air. And that makes it much more difficult for him to call. If he checks behind on the turn, then I can reevaluate the river and bluff again if the board doesn't pair.

I welcome any thoughts on my line here, as this is the first time I have tried this move.

Nothing wrong with having this play in your arsenal, but generally its just not a good play to make vs a PLO10 player.

If he's calling that much, just don't bluff ever

What they said, and I'd raise quite a bit smaller if I did raise.

What they said, nut flush blocker play rarely works at even 25PLO even when I think they aren't idiots.
At PLO10 I've x/r river (with the nuts) when the flush hit and been called by bare 9 high flushes. Way too much of 10PLO is just teaching people how hand values are different to NLHE.

Don't do this.

nfblocker play is a scam invented by coaching sites.

Your actual line isn't important. What frequency you take that line with, with nf vs nf-blocker is what is important

Interesting answer, thanks. How do you go about deciding on a frequency for this?

If you value bet flopped nut flushes expecting to get called why the **** would you bluff nut flush blockers expecting to get folds?

Your frequency of bluffing players at 10PL should be ZERO, unless you have reads.

I agree with bluffing sometimes with NF blockers only in the sense it helps us to have an aggressive image, which is great to get paid off more often, but really I think it's not important. If villain has a hand he will call you down and if he doesnt he will fold, so throwing some bluffs in there to increase our meta-ev is not very important at 10PL. Rake alone from this play probably offsets the amount of extra ev you get from having bluffs in your range

would be nice to have a read on the player you are attempting to do this. villain bet large on turn so in his mind his flush is good when he bets.
