Hi guys, just getting into PLO and looking for some feedback on a 4pl hand I played. I have only played 23 hands against villain but he has a whopping 76% VPIP and 62% PFR over the extremely small sample size. Any constructive criticism is appreciated as I have played a total of 265 PLO hands lifetime. Also if anybody has any recommendations on good PLO literature it would be much appreciated.

Thoughts on whether I should of bet flop? I figured I was ahead on that flop and the guy had been cbetting the vast majority of the time when he connected on the flop so I checked back with the intention of allowing him to bluff turn and river since he was so aggro. I'm wondering now if that was a mistake but that board is pretty scary I think so I wanted to extract value.

I don't like the flop play at all you have an underful and can be cautious but: Let's for the sake of this hand assume villian has Axxx. Against that specific range and that hand on the flop we have 52.72% equity.

Betting is the correct play to get value from him and he might fold an A if he think you have AK or he has ace garbage kicker. We take that small fold equity and we add it to any range of him having a flush draw or a straight draw and being dead. Once we take that into account we are looking very good here.

I personally like a bet of 1/3 or 1/2 pot on the flop and see what villian does. He could call or he could spazz out and checkraise which I would be gladly calling off. Worst case scenario he has AK but there is only one case king in the deck left so I would almost ignore that. If we put him on a naked ace, it's a slam dunk get it in and if we think he could have a straight or flush draw we are laughing to the bank. At low stakes people do crazy **** in 3-bet pots postflop.

.35 on flop and hope you can 3b

or bet much higher and hope he doesn't fill up

A J turn is not a good turn ofc, you will be split into 1) pot pot pot pot pot pot (or whatever your std value raise size is there (I know its bluffing not value)) and 2) damage control, in higher stakes they may actually fold AJ or A9 on river but I don't count on it at plo5

If I went .35 option, then it's like .65 on turn with a river check back, or 90% river pot when I actually 'have it'

As played fold river (or shove inc ertain dynamic). rarely calling tbh, they have to be v bad to river pot barrel worse imo
