All in all a thoroughly enjoyable fast paced round.... i dont think either of us was really testing the other at any stage; i happened to have it when he had big draws etc etc

Is this status correct now with Timber/jip update?

Jipster beat Timber 2-0 and in the Final Four.

Twisted Echo won and is in the Final Four.

Burdz also won and is in the Final Four.

So Kicks and Getitfixed are still at 1-1 and as soon as they play the rubber match, we have our final four set? If that is correct, can you play by tomorrow night?

Guys are we still doing a bio for the semis?

also am i the only one through with a 100% record?

lets the semis trash talk begin

i'm officially lowering my odds to 9/1 due to illness, overconfidence and a zealous belief in three-betting with nothing OOP

Yes please.

A paragraph about yourself or your online persona are greatly appreciated. Maybe how long you have been playing PLO, biggest or best result before the tourney, what your favorite song is, etc...

I'm Burdzthewurd. I started playing PLO in summer 2005 at .25/.50 and .50/1 on Pokerroom, went on a huge downswing, busto'ed my roll getting steamrolled without proper bankroll at 5/10 O8 6-max, and stopped playing cash until June of 2007. I'm probably a marginal winner at 1/2 HU and 6-max, a big loser in a small sample at 2/4, and doubt anyone loses more 60/40s and AIPF spots with AAxxss against 4 random cards than me. Also, the luckier and worse player you are, the far better advantage to you.

Favorite Song: Echo - Trapt
Favorite Movie: O Brother Where Art Thou?
Favorite Kind of Stripper: Black with a big can
Favorite PLO player: Ribbo (where'd he go?)

Also, I can't do our match any earlier than Thurs. afternoon jipster, I have an exam on Wednesday.

I'm TwistedEcho, i started playing PLO at 1/2 6max on stars in september after a horrible run at the WSOP/FTOPS after that and wanted a change. I got my money in horrible constantly, did tons of really awful things, and was the second biggest winner in sept behind stokie (wtf?!)

Since then i've tried 2/4, still probably play horrible, still run really good. I'm sure most stars regs just think im a spewtard who runs good, and its probably true. I've been doing a ******ed 100k hand challenge of FRNLHE since returning from PCA because im a sucker for dumb bets, and once thats finished i have no clue what im going to play.

My fav colour is blue, my fav number is 13, and my current wallpaper is:

i'm Jipster.

Turned 'pro poker player' December 2004

I started playing PLO in spring 2005 on crypto $200 level. I was blessed with tight play and enough knowledge to beat what was a very very good game.

I made a lot of money in my first year and a half, in the summer of 2006 i cleared $400 a day for 2 months solid; sometimes it took ten minutes, sometimes 6 hours... oftenmost it took between 1 and 2 hours and i stopped for the day

Eventually the games dried up, I did my ($19k) roll and failed to improve; got lazy, went BUSTO through a combination of fruit machines, having a lifestyle i couldnt afford and not playing enough poker (in fairness i played bad whenever i did)

September 2006---->I took a job dealing once a week to pay the rent but was still up the creek with no bankroll.

May 2007 ----> £2.5k in debt ---> my angel appears out of nowhere in the form of a phone call. A good friend and 2plus2 lurker rang me up and declared he was gonna stake me to get me back on my feet.

July 2007 ----> £4k in debt; 35k hands done for only £600 profit.... However; my poker had improved hugely; id found my passion and focus and was enjoying my poker once more... I started chatting to Wazz and was spending hours trawling two plus two and discussing strategy with him and my backer

Then more life changing s**t ... one of my best friends turned round and said 'you are not a close friend at the moment'... he was right, i'd been depressed (socially) not going out, smoking too much both legal and illegal stuff etc etc........

The very next day i was a changed man, within 3 weeks i'd quit smoking cigs and had a lovely summer romance with a girl 'id met in a bar' (well at a friends gig); i started socialising more, talking to my friends about their lives and generally getting myself out of depression. Life +ev = Poker +ev

Since then i've managed to pay off all my debts, buy a new lcd monitor and lead a nice lifestyle. I still have no bankroll to speak of but i'm getting by. I'm still being staked but the pros of this go far beyond having a roll to play with; Having poker friends to speak to who truly understand you is a must in this game where the general population (even those who play) don't truly 'get it'....

Also ive found now im not stressed about money i'm more relaxed and able to compartmentalize poker and life.

Right thats my story, a hollywood blockbuster i'm sure

I play plo100, 200 and have occaisonaly 100$ shortstack shots at plo500 and 1000... I've also been cashing a fair amount in nl tourneys but am lacking that one 1st 2nd or 3rd place to really cash big.

Live I prefer dealers choice to straight omaha because i actually prefer hilo games; but online theres not the sort of loose action at hilo that you can get at hi; and its (more) difficult to multitable.

Favourite Bands: Radiohead, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, (early) Fleetwood Mac <--- basically any bluesy rock plus radiohead

Favourite Movie: Rounders i'm joking; its The Shawshank Redemption. All of you who think the original Starwars trilogy is better than The Lord of The Rings are sadly mistaken

Fave Hand - 6789ds

Biggest Tourney win is $2k (live) and $2.5k on the net.

Worst Prop Bet: Donking off £100 in cold blood whilst insisting that Veal was from Lamb. And i knew this how? because i 'saw it on south park'

Worst moment in poker: Ringing up telephone banking and discovering you owe them a fortune.

Best moment in poker: Beating Wazz in round one.

All that aside i have very very little heads up experience; ive played 95% full ring games so find it a challenge.

I have played a grand total of 8 headsup plo tourneys and have won 7 of them (i got fished in one) Well 4 of those was here and 4 was on $5 HU tourney on full tilt so im not changing my day job just yet.... still if i win this...

I'm ready when you are burdz, gl in the exam

Here's my little bio:

The majority of my poker is PLO .50/1 - 2/4 and some low limit O8 fixed limit and Hole EM fixed limit (usually 2/4 - 5/10). I have played poker, or tryed to since high school.
In Jan. I had a melt down and cashed out my online roll and swore off poker on the net....I reloaded within 20 hours...I have no self control. I am also a full on NIT and NUT PEDDLER and have little to no ability when it comes to cards. Thank heavens I have a "real" job. I wish I was good enough to play poker as my job, that'd be like a dream come true. I am running really bad right now, but obv. have run well in the past.

Fav. Food: steak and seafood
Fav. Movie: Top Gun
Fav Musician: Hank Williams Jr. or Billy Joel

I enjoy watching college sports and playing golf.

I think I am about 20-1 to win this, gogogogo me!
