the fold is perfectly fine, often you only win the whole pot with bd diamonds since the 6 puts T9 there and someone often have the NFD and you can be in terrible shape for the somewhat big sidepot.

you have put 44 in the pot, dont have to call ~300 more.

Ya fold is the right play. Cut your losses at $44, easy fold imo.
