Suprising that u say it was our best performance. As a lot of tye comments over at DML were sayin that first half was the worst they've seen in a long long time!!

5 shows down in the musical so far. Started last Monday, left for tour on Wednesday morning, performance that evening and again on Friday. 8 hour drive back on Saturday, and shows on Sunday and Monday. Again tonight. Then a couple days off and another 3 consecutive shows. God I love this.

Rose has all the physical attributes, and was iirc Sunderland's player of the year. We should get Ashley Cole on a free in the summer - perfect as he will be an ideal mentor for Rose, as well as providing our defence with some much needed experience.

It was the reaction that most impressed me. I thought it was possibly Soldado's best game for Spurs - full of running and was a nuisance all afternoon. We have been insipid at home all season (with the exception being the first half against Chelsea) so it was good to see the team show some character, fight and no little ability.

Rose just hasn't delivered for us and at least Benoit was defensively solid and protected the LCB even if he wasnt up and down like Walker.

Think Rose just needs a good run in the team and doesnt need to constantly be trying to get up and down. Defend properly first imo then build on rest.

Imo Capoue is a must hold next summer. We cannot get rid of the only other true defensive midfielder than Sandro, who doesn't seem to stay fit the whole season. Bentaleb and Paulinho are disasters paired with Dembele defensively even if they intuitively shouldn't be. At least that's how it has seemed like under Sherwood's "non-organized" defensive work.

Paulinho will be good. He has just shown so much class in Brazil shirt that I cannot believe that he wouldn't make it with the right manager. Bentaleb is okayish but his defensive work is just plain terrible for the most part. I still cannot believe how he could lose Leon Osman like 4 times within first 7minutes in the Everton match.

I don't know. I kinda like Holtby and Siggy. They have vision, they have technique and they have drive. They are still young and could possibly come very good if given the chance. But we indeed do have too much bodies in the midfield : / And yea, Eriksen is the first name on paper when thinking about the starting eleven. Play him as a 10 - please Tim?

I hope we get a proper manager next summer Let it be Steve Bruce or Big Sam or whoever, I couldn't care less. As long as it is not Tim "IhavenocluewhatImdoing" Sherwood.

E: As this thread is turning into a Tottenham -thread. Umm. We just cannot have Danny Rose as a 1st left-back next season. We just simply cannot. Ashley Cole? F* that. But we need someone good or okayish who Rose can act as a cover for. Rose is nowhere near good enough for a team aiming for a top 4 -finish.

With a decent manager i'd like to see Dembele converted to a DM. He is so good technically and physically, and his passing is strong but when he plays in advanced positions he just doesn't move the ball fast enough.

Siggy and Holtby - yeah, they are both good players who have never really been given a chance in their proper positions. The problem is moving forward is that Eriksen just HAS to play as either 8 or 10, which is essentially their best position. I'd personally like to see Eriksen play as an 8 with Lamela at 10, but the problem is that i suspect Chadli's best position is 10 as well, so we can't accommodate all of them, and playing Siggy wide left...no, he isn't good enough in that position.

So some players just have to move on, and i think Siggy and Holtby are just the most likely candidates. We just have too many players occupying the same space, and of similar ability so none of them get a decent chance to show what they can do.

Where the f* is Lamela sittin around? Is he doing any rehabilitation? I have watched a suprising amount of Spurs' matches this season and still can't figure out what has gone wrong, except the fact that Baldini, Levy and the others didn't do that good of a job investing the £ you got for Bale...

Rooting for you during 14-15. Lets make that top 4 and kick out some of the other bastards

Lamela is "back in training" according to this article, and perhaps surprisingly is in contention for a WC spot, at least according the guy quoted in this article.

I still think Lamela will come good. Roma paid £20m to bring him over from Argentina originally, and lest we forget the somewhat inauspicious start Bale made to his Spurs career.
