Deep £1/2 £5 Straddle, I have £1065 and am covered by Wazz. I cover the rest of the table, but none have less than 100bb. Obviously there is a lot of metagame, but I think the general thought of each other is that we are so much better than the rest of the table ( 2 or 3 real spots of value) that we don't need to play a big pot vs each other.

i think your line looks very strong and he might fold K7 there, i dont think he will fold second nut straight here or 66, given meta etc etc, cause from his point of view you may easily do it with FD+two pairs. for some reasons i think he is bluffing/semibluffing there by himself.

In general i think semi bluffing the turn is a strong move but in this particular spot i don't like it. I think it'd be excusable if the turn was the 6c, but tbh it just looks like spew.

i don't know much about wazz's game but i know he can be tricky and i would imagine playing oop against him is quite a nightmare.

given his raise isn't fullpot, i don't think it's 45 or a set, and i don't think he checks the flop with K7.
it looks like 89 with a flush draw so the shove isn't that bad.

but i don't have enough experience to give too much input in these spots but would love to hear what the more experienced players have to say. i find myself in these spots quite a bit.

I don't like it. Since you're risking all of your stack to polarize his range and there's reverse implied odds.

Don't like it much... he gets over 2:1 to call, there's no reason he can't have the nuts (54) here, and raise/folding with anything would be pretty bad

I like a turn call for the range polarization answer above.

I cant quite work out who has position on who but i assume you are oop to wazz. (if not in this hand then most others right )

Bascially its very simple; there shouldnt be ANY metagame between the two of you as you should be avoiding playing pots with him like the plague... now i know wazz and i know he will get involved against you and thats fine; frankly id be rocking up with him on my left and requesting a seat move...

Metagame shmetagame; there is a big big difference between live and internet metagame; your going too deep with it; forget trying to 2nd and 3rd level the best player at the table and focus on attacking the pots of gold at the end of the rainbow.

i like the 3 bet all in if you hit the 6c on the turn, but obv he's never folding 4-5 and it looks like he picked up hearts on the turn as well. you may hit your nut straight card, but how much do you like the 9h on the river?

Call turn RR, especially if you think you can garner either a river bluff or hero call.

and wazz called with nuts + redraw and stacked you right?
