Live 1/2 with $5 to call. I'm button with AKJ2 double suited. Folded to cutoff who's been active, but seems solid. I have 800 and he covers me. He opens for 15, I bet to 50. Folded to him and he calls.

Flop J52 with with 2 hearts and i spade (i have nut spades). He checks, i bet 80, he calls.

Turn 7c. He checks.

2 questions.

1. Thoughts on flop 3bet, his range is wide.

2. Thoughts on turn line.

Thanks in advance.

1. 3bet is good
2. Bet. Hard to say what sizing since I don't know your typical sizings. I'd bet between 210 and full pot.

I thought most of villians range was made up of big pairs and/or flush draw, so i potted the turn. He tanked, and then put me in. I called. He had AK55, no flush draw...but middle set on the flop.

i think the bigger question here is your turn call. You have roughly 400 behind and he check raises the 7 turn all in. Did you think you were ahead at this point based on what you know about him?

The way its played thoguh it would be difficult to put him on a set

I might have screwed up effective stacks, it was about 200 more for me to call the turn all-in.

I like it, especially with the read you have on him and your position.

2. Thoughts on turn line.
There's roughly $260 in the pot, the board isn't too wet (except for hearts), and I don't see any hands like xx77 in his range. I think a bet of around $225-250 is good enough to get him off a heart draw if that's what he called the flop with.

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure we don't want him off a heart draw. I think pre is fine as is flop. Not sure why you're potting turn though if you don't know the answer to his shove. If you're not wanting to be committed bet less. It's a relatively dry board so I don't see the need to pound the turn.

But I'm just learning PLO so whatevs.
