I've been playing 10plo on carbon and there is usually always minimum 4 games going, more often 5-7. The rake at 4plo is pretty brutal (>22bb/100 from my calculations). I think carbon is going to be a better option then lock in the long run, they seem dedicated to providing good rewards/service and I think a lot of the lock hype will die off after the june promos.

thanks ULOST2AKID

do u regard yourself a tight/loose player? i played 20VPIP on stars, and got raked about 10bb/100

i think the lock hype is really nothing when one considers the june promotion is a very small rake back (% wise), the gigantic amount only makes it harder to clear

Re: ~ June Digest - Where should I play? ~

Thanks for this thread. It is excellent.

I've been doing exactly the opposite of GGARJ's advice for the last few weeks and it's been a disaster. I've gone from a small winner to a big loser by adding tables . I became obsessed with volume instead of improving. sticking with 4 tables max from now on and setting my goals by hours not hands.

This thread has also made me look at rake and rakeback etc.

Over 105,000 hands at PLO 4 and plo 10 (95,000 plo4 ) I've paid 680 dollars rake. I receive 41 % back through rakeback at my current site. (black chip).

But my question is this. how can I work out the bb/100 I'm paying . I'm guessing its over 20 bb/100(before RB) but not sure if I doing it right.

Also is there any site that compares rake for microplayers?

I'm winning at just over 1bb/100 so am a decent winer with RB, but have feeling I may be better off at pokerstars paying lower rake.

Great thread as usual guys. Thank you all, it's very much appreciated.

You have played 105000 hands. Divide that by 100 to give you /100. That = 1050. Now divide the total rake paid by 1050 and you get $.65/100 hands. Divide $.65 by 4(BB) and you get 16BB/100.

rakeback: 36% rakeback + 1st time deposit bonus at a rate of $84 rake/$1 dollar returned. Total rakeback should be 37.19%

So, Carbon looks awfully sexy now with 48% rakeback and I am tempted to jump to there.
this is FTP kind of bonus with dealt rake so it's about 30-36% of rakeback.

Total rakeback would be at least 66% and you can earn more with good affiliate.

All this is great, but what about cash out options?? All i ever hear about eurosites is that its a huge pain in the ass to get any funds off in a descent amount of time. Im one of the many who got robed by the DOJ via fulltilt.

Bump - June isn't over yet!

What are your predictions for the future of iPoker after September when it's going to spit minor skins that offer the best cashback deals (check out this and this 2+2 threads)? Are you going to leave this sinking ship?

I'm not regged at major networks so I'm an observer yet, but in July I'll most likely have to sign up with at least one of them and I hate the current situation where I can't find more than 53% at the micros outside iPoker (excluding deposit and reload bonuses). (Edit: Ongame doesn't count because, though being breakeven post-RB this month due to lack of discipline, I'm too arrogant to believe that *ssence won't drop it to 40-45%.)

So it would be kind of you to share emails your affiliates send to you concerning the iPoker split - according to the above threads some of them will be moved to the smaller 'iPoker2' pool. Probably it's early to panic now, I'll wait for a press release of their new rules for skins.
